The results out already? Added on July 7, 2010, 12:45 am QUOTE(zer016 @ Jul 6 2010, 05:47 PM) Hey.. I m using Toshiba M500-S433.. How old is your M500? The battery juz last for 2hours plus.. Does de model sell 16cell battery, tat can make de battery last longer? Or does any battery last longer? Pls tell me if got.. By right if running on Eco Utility + dimmest brightness + muting speakers, a new battery would be able to squeeze out approximately 3 hours usage. I think 2 hours is quite good for a 6-cell battery 16cell? O____O I've only heard of 9-cell battery. I think it is only possible to buy an additional 6-cell battery from Toshiba. And do make sure not to expose the battery to heat as heat kills them This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Jul 7 2010, 12:45 AM |

I've seen it also, its even better designed that the previous model I'm waiting for the new batch of 11.6 inch Portege using Pentium U5400, those should be quite good |

QUOTE(loveydovey_ @ Jul 8 2010, 01:46 PM) I like the red M900 lol. and it is not glossy !!!! LOL, well that's typical Malaysian Consumer Mentality hehe, everyone would just love to have the bigger yet cheaper stuffs haha But my dad scolded me for paying more for a smaller size and slower laptop ?! =.=" coz the Hertz got a MINOR different only. sigh... Then your dad will definitely hate the Portege T130 haha... Well, actually it depends on what you need in the end lo~ Yup, the M900 defintely ain't glossy, but the material looks like rubber or something, it feels like it will become smelly after exposure to sweat T____T Well, generally smaller laptops will have slightly weaker processors so that the battery life can be longer which can be especially useful for mobile users. The M900 is not a bad notebook, it even comes with an optical drive and a rather decent graphic card, same as the M500 iirc Added on July 8, 2010, 7:50 pmNew Toshiba laptops! ^____^ Introducing the Ultraportable Portege R700 and the Dual-screened Libretto W100 Link here (from Lowyat.net): http://www.lowyat.net/v2/latest/toshiba-ce...-surprises.html This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Jul 8 2010, 07:50 PM |

QUOTE(coachfashion @ Jul 9 2010, 01:54 PM) im looking for a new Toshiba laptop, anyone can recommend which model to go for? Well you can take a look at the Portege T130 or M900 for 13 inchers as shown below (quoted from Mr. Miahahaha):i need it for PHP development environment multimedia = mic & speaker wifi of cos. 13" - 14" the lighter the better... can tell me which model to go for? Toshiba M900, i3 330M + Nvidia 310M@RM3199 Toshiba T130, SU7300 + GMA 4500MHD@RM3099 *no DVD Toshiba Portégé T130-D337, SU7300 + GMA 4500MHD@RM2899 + Toshiba SuperMulti External Drive Toshiba Portégé T130-D332W, SU9400 + GMA 4500MHD@RM3099 + Toshiba SuperMulti External Drive + 2nd Year Local Warranty Toshiba Portégé M900-D351, i5 520M + Nvidia G310M@RM4099 + 2nd and 3rd Year Local Warranty Toshiba Portégé M900-D338, i5 520M + Nvidia G310M@RM3699 The T130 is lighter but it runs on CULV processors which is mainly for battery life one, the processor is comparatively (significantly) weaker than the M900. The M900 comes with optical drive, a decent processor as well as an GC.... so its kind of heavy haha XD If you are not very rush in buying can wait for the new Portege series (T210 or something, forgot the name le) that runs on Pentium U5400 |

QUOTE(electron @ Jul 14 2010, 08:15 AM) Yea, the Toshiba Portege R700- they say its one of, if not, the thinnest Toshiba notebook around o 13 incher, powered by an i7 processor + Intel HD+ 128GB SSD with optical drive. Toshiba claims that its the lightest 13 incher ever (~1.39kg). They've also boasted about the cooling system which is based on the cooling system of jet engines (Airflow Cooling Technology) Funny thing is the Libretto W100 is way expensive than the Portege R700 at approx. RM5,000 More details here: http://techcentral.my/news/story.aspx?file...428&sec=it_news This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Jul 14 2010, 08:52 AM |
