How old is your M500?
By right if running on Eco Utility + dimmest brightness + muting speakers, a new battery would be able to squeeze out approximately 3 hours usage. I think 2 hours is quite good for a 6-cell battery nod.gif
16cell? O____O I've only heard of 9-cell battery.
I think it is only possible to buy an additional 6-cell battery from Toshiba.

And do make sure not to expose the battery to heat as heat kills them icon_rolleyes.gif

The L645 is the replacement for the Satellite L510. I've seen it also, its even better designed that the previous model nod.gif But the specs are more or less the same only, nothing much to shout about hehe~ And the glossiness!! OMG!! Cannot stand it liao.... laugh.gif
I'm waiting for the new batch of 11.6 inch Portege using Pentium U5400, those should be quite good icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah, glossy materials are only good for the eye zzzz Its so hard to find good notebooks without the glossy stuffs lately rclxub.gif
I hope I won't have to resort to buying the Portege because of lack of options LOL
I seriously want the ASUS UL20A!!! Why din't they use the latest processors doh.gif

I dun like my L645 tho. When the cover is closed, it can be easily pressed. I scared I will spoil my L645 in that way >.>

I'm Regret that I didn't choose M900 =(

Yeah, the same goes to the previous L510 models, and many other budget line laptops nod.gif
Even so I don't think you can spoil your notebook that way la, we don't usually press our laptops now, do we? hehe
Nevertheless, must take care o~

The M900 is kind of heavy for a 13 incher, and the design looks very weird (to me) haha ~~

LOL, well that's typical Malaysian Consumer Mentality hehe, everyone would just love to have the bigger yet cheaper stuffs haha laugh.gif
Then your dad will definitely hate the Portege T130 haha... Well, actually it depends on what you need in the end lo~
Yup, the M900 defintely ain't glossy, but the material looks like rubber or something, it feels like it will become smelly after exposure to sweat T____T

Well, generally smaller laptops will have slightly weaker processors so that the battery life can be longer which can be especially useful for mobile users.
The M900 is not a bad notebook, it even comes with an optical drive and a rather decent graphic card, same as the M500 iirc laugh.gif

Well you can take a look at the Portege T130 or M900 for 13 inchers as shown below (quoted from Mr. Miahahaha):

Toshiba M900, i3 330M + Nvidia 310M@RM3199
Toshiba T130, SU7300 + GMA 4500MHD@RM3099 *no DVD
Toshiba Portégé T130-D337, SU7300 + GMA 4500MHD@RM2899 + Toshiba SuperMulti External Drive
Toshiba Portégé T130-D332W, SU9400 + GMA 4500MHD@RM3099 + Toshiba SuperMulti External Drive + 2nd Year Local Warranty
Toshiba Portégé M900-D351, i5 520M + Nvidia G310M@RM4099 + 2nd and 3rd Year Local Warranty
Toshiba Portégé M900-D338, i5 520M + Nvidia G310M@RM3699

The T130 is lighter but it runs on CULV processors which is mainly for battery life one, the processor is comparatively (significantly) weaker than the M900.
The M900 comes with optical drive, a decent processor as well as an GC.... so its kind of heavy haha XD

If you are not very rush in buying can wait for the new Portege series (T210 or something, forgot the name le) that runs on Pentium U5400 nod.gif

Yea, the Toshiba Portege R700- they say its one of, if not, the thinnest Toshiba notebook around o drool.gif
13 incher, powered by an i7 processor + Intel HD+ 128GB SSD with optical drive. Toshiba claims that its the lightest 13 incher ever (~1.39kg). They've also boasted about the cooling system which is based on the cooling system of jet engines (Airflow Cooling Technology) rclxub.gif . Prices are estimated at around RM3,999. There may be different configurations and specs (cheaper ones) too rclxms.gif Claimed battery life is ~8 hours drool.gif

Funny thing is the Libretto W100 is way expensive than the Portege R700 at approx. RM5,000 sweat.gif
