Yes it is possible.
Teledynamic technician said that most sellers are not very aware of the difference in terms of the black chip numbers. Hence you need to make sure you get the correct 1  nod.gif

Can they help cos I can't seem to find any in Kuching? Like you say, most don't know about the difference.

i really can't wait for it.  time to switch out from my 3 yr old ASUS W7....

i just wish though that the R700 had a dedicated GC....but haiz, i guess that would increase the heat and reduce the battery life per use...
*
Not to mention the price haha.... the R700 has aims at a different niche of the market... nod.gif

Anyone has experience with T210?
Planning to get one, where can i get the best deal?
How much would it cost to upgrade regional warranty to an international one?
Is that even possible?
THx.
*
I've seen a few units already on display in Lowyat plaza.... its not exactly pretty if you ask me... the patterns on the palm rests look like those of children sticker cards rclxub.gif
That model is still quite new so I don't think many people would have had the chance to try it out yet. Still, based on my personal experiences, the T110 was very very good- you can check notebookcheck for the review.
Perhaps you can try Cycom, they offer me the cheapest price when I bought my Qosmio F60 (which was still very new during that time, don't even have display units X___X)
Yes, you can upgrade to international warranty, at a price, of course hehe icon_rolleyes.gif iirc its [RM550 for 2nd year international warranty; RM860 for 2nd and 3rd year International warranty]

Hai, i have on old-notebook Toshiba Sattellite M100. I really love this notebook and still do not want to replace it, because the performance still very good.

With Intel T5600 1.83GHZ 2MB Cache 668Mhz. 3GB DDR2 RAM. ATI XT1300 DDR 256MB Dedicated Graphics.

Yesterday i did service by myself to this my notebook, i called it "orangebook", because its color is orange. Every 5-10 minutes it suddenly off by itself. I know it was because over heating, even i used cooler pad.

in fact, this case has already happened since a year ago. But few days ago it was very frustrating. I know the problem the processor's fan is not working anymore. i can see it. Then i went to notebook service, and ask them to opened it the orangebook, and look at the fan if something happenend.

They said exactly you have to change your fan!! WTF, without seeing it first he said the cost services and price for the fan is totally RM250. Damn IT. I just want him to do a service. Then i decided to OPEN IT by myself.

I buy a set of screwdriver costs me RM30 and thermal paste RM20.

I open the orangebook. I can saw the motherboard, it very sexy. I saw everything. The Graphic card, the processor, and of course the fan and heatsink.

What i found is there was DUST as a big of my hand, stuck in the fan and heatsink, made the fan cannot spin. After i clean everything i assembled every piece of it. So today, my orangebook has came back to normal.

Love it!!!

* my advice, if your toshiba notebook has problem with expired warranty, and you curious to know, do it by ur self first. The repair/service is full of greedy people. IMO (not all of service/repair center)

Added on August 1, 2010, 3:40 pmBTW,

I'm Looking for used Notebook processor and Harman Kardon Speaker module. Because my harman cardon is totally crash.

PM if you have any..

Thanks

Yay, all hail all M100 users!!
I love my M100 too~ Everything still functioning at the moment notworthy.gif
Yeah, I should probably open and clean my fan too, its getting hotter and hotter these days...
The only weird thing about this model is the placement of the RAM slots..... 1 at the back, whereas 1 under the keyboard sweat.gif

Yeah I agreed with you, small problems can be solved by oneself, provided the warranty is already finished hehe icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, the upper RAM slot can be easily accessed provided you know where to start opening the laptop hehe....
The hinges are actually decorative and can be removed with a screwdriver, then the panel with the multimedia buttons and the speaker grills can be removed by hand. Then remove the 2 screws holding the keyboard, carefully remove the keyboard and then you will see a silver plate with 2 screws, remove them then you will see the RAM slot lo nod.gif Teledynamics technician taught me for free, really appreciate it hehe notworthy.gif

The material of the previous Toshiba notebooks are not very good... comfortable but they always got corroded T____T
I doubt there's anything we can do anymore cry.gif

I think the only way to replace the harman/kardon speakers is through Teledynamics since harman/kardon parts (even the whole speakers) are quite rare in Malaysia T___T

Yeah, the Toshiba Satellite L645-112U is actually quite a good bargain ^____^
You get 4GB DDR3 RAM and free 2nd and 3rd year warranty rclxms.gif
Basically the L645, L635, L655 are similar in almost every aspect except for the size. A lot of these models are on display, you can have a good look at them =D
I don't own a L645 but I've seen and "felt" one haha~
The built quality is slightly better than the previous Satellite L510 and they also come with a better array of colors.
The overall quality is not bad.
The only cons that I see is the glossiness... the L645 attracts fingerprints and grit rather easily.
Also, the laptop comes with both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows7... so unless you convert to 64-bit Windows7 (just tell the salesperson to do that for you, if cannot means it is not in out-of-the-box state), you won't be able to fully utilize the 4GB RAM. nod.gif

Well, it all depends on what you are using the notebook for?

Yes, L645-1002U is quite good choice for non-gamer. If u decide to play some games on it better upgrade to L645-1052X which cost RM2,799 but comes with i5-420M, Radeon 5145 graphics & 4GB as well..

The L510-B404 should be capable of running all usual and regular programs i.e. office, surfing, movies etc. You need to upgrade the RAM though, the ones offered along with the laptop ain't enough, try at least 3GB RAM icon_rolleyes.gif

The R700 was featured at the PC Fair brochure on site. But I didn't see the physical laptop when I was there yesterday morning.

Anyways, it was out of my budget.

For gaming, this would be more preferable...
Toshiba Satellite M645-1002X, i5 450M + Nvidia GT330M@RM3999
or
Toshiba F60-S530, i3 330M + Nvidia GT330M@RM3199....
