I actually have one and yes it can be registerd for warranty. Working great so far. Can get around 3700rm with optimus some more. Hehe

Yes you can register any Toshiba warranty if new set. However you might not be able to get service @toshiba malaysia. Because you actually dont have international warranty as claimed because u did not buy in US (you should know its PI set). Checkout the TnC for warranty dude.

But since its Toshiba, i doubt it will break down in the first year. Cheers

Meaning there's no way to fix the laptop (warranty) if it breaks down bro? hmm.gif

Technically its not entitled to international warranty since not bought in US (its a US PI set). I not even sure if they have US local warranty since you dont have US proof of purchase.

Since its cheap, thats the risk u have to take

hello pros, some newbie stupid qustions..
how to know that the laptop is quad core or dual core...? it wont stated in spec that "I am quad core lappy" =P...
and also in toshiba website, one model got so many spec also.. (for example F750 got PQF75L-012002, PQF75L-012012, 016013 etc... http://pc.toshiba-asia.com/notebook/personal/qosmio/F750)
how do i know which one is available in Malaysia? it no provide price for each as well and also make me suffer to choose among them...
*
The website basically shows all available models for the F750. However different country will get different specs, the ones available here are listed below:
Toshiba
Qosmio F750-1006X, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT540M + (1920x1080) + Bluray RW@RM5999, Glasses free 3D
Qosmio F750-1001X, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT540M@RM3699, Steel series Kinzu Pro mousepad
Qosmio F750-1010X, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT540M@RM4299

Basically they're all quad core models nod.gif

Yup,
they have different graphic switching implementation though.
Toshiba P755 has the nVidia Optimus, where you can't switch to nVidia GPU for permanent, it will always go through Intel HD.
While DV6's implementation, you have more manual control over the GPU..

thank you very much Lee!!! thumbup.gif

I actually wanted to buy Toshiba but my friends suggested that dv6 have better graphic cards. Since i'm no heavy gamer, i think toshiba is good enough for me.
Thanks again!

Already replied you in Mobile Computing right? sweat.gif
The Nvidia GT540M can handle MW3 at highest, but not BF3...

Yeah, it ranked 2nd in Squaretrade's reliability survey, some time ago laugh.gif
But then it sometimes depends on the category of the laptop, and also a little bit of luck yo~

I've been using this laptop for the past few months already. Very reliable. I'm not into heavy gaming, mostly using it for photoshop (which I use heavily) as well as regular office work and surfing the net. Love the backlit keyboard, making it possible for me to work at night with the lights in the room switched off (not the best environment to work for my eyes, but i don't do it very often). No issues for me so far.
