Yes, you need to register for the 1st year international/regional warranty here: http://pc.toshiba-asia.com/portal/public/u...rentTab=service
Hmm, since it already comes with 64-bits W7, you should add to 4GB RAM hehe brows.gif

Hi, I was looking for Toshiba-user support forum and found it here.

I just bought T210 for me and Satellite L645 for my brother, we both got 2nd year local limited warranty.
Then I went to Toshiba-asia to register for the 1st year warranty but it failed. It tells :

Problem in your warranty registration
We are unable to proceed with your warranty registration, please kindly send a copy of the proof of purchase....bla..bla..bla.....

Did anybody had encounter similar problem like me????

Hi, anyone of you had experience claiming harddisk warranty from Toshiba? Did you format your harddisk before hand over the harddisk to them?
Last time I claimed but I didn't format. Do you think it's safe? Will they refurbish the harddisk or throw the harddisk away? Anyway, my harddisk was just minimally damaged that time. Am I paranoid?

Technically speaking formatting won't really get rid of the data inside, but its still one of the ways to make retrieving your data harder nod.gif
I've always ask for the HDD to be taken out and returned to me when I send my laptop for repairs nod.gif
For your case I think its still okay, no worries there nod.gif

A portion of the original HDD is used to save recovery files, hence taking up a little bit of space
