QUOTE(wuszhtag @ Jul 9 2015, 10:29 PM) Spoke to Alex. He told me that by end of July the unifi will be ready. there will be 100 vans from tm to settle the installation in 2 days on weekday(get approval from DBKL to close the road near our condo to make way for their parking😅). btw, the date has not been finalized yet. they will contact us prior to the installation. hope what he says is real... |

Hi guys
I just moved in to midfields few weeks ago. I still have half year contract with Tm Unifi from my previous house so last week talked to the service centre and they said will do survey on the availability of tm Unifi to this condo and yesterday I saw the notice of tm Unifi on the info board and called Alex for more info. He said if I want to move in my current Unifi, I need to pay rm600 for the installment ==. Moreover, if I terminate my contract with Unifi, I need to pay rm500. What should I do now ? Anyonewould like to give some suggestions? TT |

I find that the painting at the wall outside is ugly and does not reflect well on the image of the condo. May be the crawlies plants are expensive but I find that they serve dual purposes : more greenery and nicer looking. m2c.

Guys,
Have you all noticed that the management have change the cleaning company to a new one. What i find weird is that all the cleaners are males? I mean is it safe to have male cleaners moving about every floors and such? I see some of them staring at female swimming at the pool and all...i find this really disturbing.... |

Spoke to Alex over the weekend and heard from him that the most recent progress of Unifi installation is currently on hold, awaiting for approval from management for next steps in installation (my apologies, for I am not familiar with all tech thingamajigs hence not able to name the next procedure that Alex mentioned). Apparently the hold up is due to the current manager working in management has resigned and is causing a delay. I called the management office today, spoke to the manager, Kelvin Lee and was being told in an unpleasant and unprofessional manner that there is no such hold up and Alex is spreading nonsense due to his incapability to deliver his work.
Whoa! What is going on..? Has anyone has gotten the most recent update pertaining to Unifi installation and could shed some light? On an additional note, I'm amused to be scolded by this manager for calling to ask about Unifi installation progress. I've been paying monthly maintenance fees which also goes to this manager's salary. So in summary, that means I'm paying for him to scold me..? I was told that there's no power supply available in the MDF room to cater for the networking equipment and such arrangement is in progress as we speak (not sure by Alex or Building management) hence the cause of the delays and was told the service will not be available until August. Did he mention the name of the manager? Sigh... |

And as for the manager I spoke to earlier today (i.e. Kelvin Lee), he as well sounds frustrated with Alex for "spreading nonsense" about him. So I guess this whole dispute is between Alex and Kelvin? Well, besides the manager, to whom else shall I feedback these occurrence within the management? I just want to provide a feedback so things get done more efficiently. |

one piece of information to share regarding power. they are getting TNB to install a meter so that all electricity used to power up TM equipment are to be charged to TM and not to JMB.
as for the finger pointing, i have said it before, that JMB should organize more frequent communication session with resident to update the residents on any decision being made. case in point, the switching of cleaner contracts. no explanation given on why it was changed. right now i don't see much transparency in the decision making. |

I agree but right now I'm not aware of any channel that we can get in touch with the elected members of the JMB other than thru EGM or AGM nor we have a platform for residents to discuss on matters related to the condo, so everything has to go thru the management office which kinda sucks.
A Facebook group (closed group) would be nice and we can add all the residents (with verified resident card ID) to the group and discuss from there, and of course the JMB representatives will need to be in there as well. How do we find out who the elected members are (besides having to go to the management office during office hours which is not possible since I, just like most residents, work during those hours)?A Facebook group (closed group) would be nice and we can add all the residents (with verified resident card ID) to the group and discuss from there, and of course the JMB representatives will need to be in there as well. FB closed group maybe not such a good idea since some people (like myself) prefer to read about what's going on and not necessarily participate in the discussion to maintain anonymity. |

I cancelled my subscription to YES cause I relied on unofficial and unconfirmed communication (i.e. this forum) which mentioned Unifi would be active in Midfields this month |

Ah man, anyone know what's the status on the Unifi installation now? Alex has not answered any of my inquiries through whatsapp.
