I agree but right now I'm not aware of any channel that we can get in touch with the elected members of the JMB other than thru EGM or AGM nor we have a platform for residents to discuss on matters related to the condo, so everything has to go thru the management office which kinda sucks.

A Facebook group (closed group) would be nice and we can add all the residents (with verified resident card ID) to the group and discuss from there, and of course the JMB representatives will need to be in there as well.
*
How do we find out who the elected members are (besides having to go to the management office during office hours which is not possible since I, just like most residents, work during those hours)?

FB closed group maybe not such a good idea since some people (like myself) prefer to read about what's going on and not necessarily participate in the discussion to maintain anonymity.

one piece of information to share regarding power. they are getting TNB to install a meter so that all electricity used to power up TM equipment are to be charged to TM and not to JMB.

as for the finger pointing, i have said it before, that JMB should organize more frequent communication session with resident to update the residents on any decision being made. case in point, the switching of cleaner contracts. no explanation given on why it was changed. right now i don't see much transparency in the decision making.

Yup all this he says she says is frustrating.

I cancelled my subscription to YES cause I relied on unofficial and unconfirmed communication (i.e. this forum) which mentioned Unifi would be active in Midfields this month doh.gif

Just to add that i spoke to the TM guy yesterday.

They keep shifting the goal post and coming up with reasons for delay whether it's failure to install TNB meter and now the fiber optic cable...

Do you need to have the line installed first or can the request for upgrade be done beforehand?

Not really sure about that. I get my unifi installed then only I went to upgrade it.
*
I think I'll wait till unifi is (finally) installed before requesting for an upgrade. Thanks!

Hey peeps,

Some info:- if you want to update your particulars or change Unifi package BEFORE the installation, you can go to the Unifi Booth in Block A. They have a booth setup at the moment during the Unifi installation of Block A. And, please, DO NOT do it via other external TM agents to avoid confusion, delay or even get charged extra.

We have our own contracted TM agent to handle MF Unifi enquiry and application, so if you want to update your details or upgrade to other packages, go to Block A instead, do not engage with other agents.

And, no, no Maxis Broadband, just Unifi is available in MF for now (maybe a few years later) because TM subsidised part of the installation cost.

Lastly, they're finally preparing the installation for Block B & C, so guys, hang on and sit tight, after all the dramas, high speed Internet will be coming real soon.  thumbup.gif

Cheers.

Thanks for the info. I'll go check them out this weekend.

Are Kai Unifi and the TM agent in Block A the same people?

I don't think so. Please go to Block A instead to avoid double records. We should go to MF contracted agent only.

Also, a sidenote, apparently those who signed up for 5mbps will need to change their package because by the time it starts the installation in Nov, TM no longer offers such package.
*
I do want to change my package either way it's just that if Kai Unifi and the TM agent in Block A are the same I could get it done without ever visiting Block A. Not trying to create double records.

I highly doubt Kai is the contracted MF unifi agent (no offences). wuszhtag manage to do it mainly because he/she already has unifi installed. But those who yet to have unifi should go through the proper channel, which is in Block A. That's my understanding.
*
Oh well thanks for the clarification. I'll still have to wait till the weekend to change my plan.

guys, the MF Unifi Agent in block A is Alex.

before installation, i did asked for package upgrade from 5 to 30 however he said if he change the package, he will NEED to cancel my 5mbps order and place a new 30mbps order which will take another 1 week to complete. This is what he told me.

Alex also told me that if we subscribe tot he 5mbps then we can keep the package and no need for package change.

so i proceed with 5mbps installation. silky smooth.

then i went to him back for the package upgrade and he asked me to go TM point. Since my schedule quite tight i cant make it thus im lurking around here looking for agent.

Found Kai and i whatsapp him directly, everything was smooth and easy after that. My package got upgraded within 2 days.

OK so I can skip visiting Alex at Block A, wait till Unifi is installed and then upgrade to 30 Mbps. Got it thanks.

rclxms.gif Well said, MyKi.

Anyway, went to the booth in Block A. Got to know that Block C installation will commence on 10 Nov, Block B has to wait just a little bit more.

For Block B & C peeps, If you subscribed for 5mbps, you will need to change the package because it's an old package and it'll be no longer available after 31 Oct. For those who emailed/phoned/text Alex to change the package previously, please go and check your subscription and details again because I asked for package upgrade via email few weeks ago, but ended up it did not get updated.

Do you have Alex's contact number? 10 November is about 2 weeks from now but I haven't received any phone or sms about the Unifi installation date...
