ooOOO kahwin! GRATS adrian!!! biggrin.gif

Hehe, yes my Preon (black) has a very nice feel to it. I'm using the single body with 'twisty' tailcap & black clip. Capable of momentary on! thumbup.gif Nice floody beam, and twice floodier than iTP A3. PWM frequency is very high and I'm very pleased.

Oh, the charger comes with balance charging socket for Li-on, so you can make a balanced charger for li-on, not like the parallel charge like the post before. nice idea.

make sure you when you solder them, you do it quickly or freeze the magnets first.
they lose a lot of the magnetic property when subjected to high heat... hehe.

Oo? why sorry haha, the setup is very interesting. Not only for charging but custom made a battery pack in parallel and power up a 4.2v light for superb runtime lol

Here you go, custom charge deck.

The metal part as the conductor is the florescent lamp holder, the battery hold is also florescent lamp holder, both can get from hardware store or electric shop. BTW, I need to file the plastic holder in order to allow the battery fit in not too tight.

note that I show a very good and cheap digital multi meter DMM, its UNI-T UT33C, it comes with a temperature sensor built in and a external sersor, good for measure heat of the battery or flashlight.

And it is less than RM60, but the default set has not calibrate so well, I calibrate the temperature and voltage my self.

Hi guys, finally had time to do some beam shots, though i'm not please with the result specially when the local enforcers gave a quick siren...seem like the locals are quite done looking a the sky today, with eclipse and all... sweat.gif so i took a quick few shots before they could come back..

I did have time to ream the smooth Maglite reflector to fit the LF P7 , though i really wanted to take bean shot with those too...the Mag lens and reflector can only be held tightly by the Mag bezel because the reflector is thinner at the rim and the lens are thinner too..

Attached Image

..and difference from Ori reflector ( Right )& Smooth Mag reflector ( Left )...

Attached Image

Beam shots..no detail on ISO, shutter and aperture...quite a scare when my eyes where staring at the sky and jumped by cops.. biggrin.gif

I call this picture " I SHOT THE SHERIFF "

Attached Image

Sorry guys i was set to take more..but, well you know why...

I got the beam to focus, finally, the heatsink can be adjusted..backed it a few mm, result is a little less spill, i should gain better result on the Mag reflector..just for fun. Look at the picture..found a few pictures on lighthound, my heatsink sat too proudly forward..

Right was how it came, Left is where it is now...its way better...

This was my reference picture..
