QUOTE(jwyj @ Mar 22 2010, 09:21 PM) Just received some flashlights from opticshq, and I took out the turbo head to play with. It has a laser like beam that could not be any tighter or narrower without the use of an apherical lens. Narrower than the tiablo A9 and I think it throws further too. Nice lego James [attachmentid=1496509] I think it is not too bad if anyone wants to have a LED thrower which is legoable in a e/c/m series surefire bodies. [attachmentid=1496512] They are on sale now but EMS to Malaysia is not cheap. |

I think the head would look good on one of your tanklight bodies. You want? (Why are we still not sleeping? I keep typing wrong words) This post has been edited by jwyj: Mar 22 2010, 11:08 PM |

Found this link in CPF, you have to download a 43MB .wmv video. Interesting to know what's inside the TA21.

hey walter, thats not surprising actually....
after a lil bit of trial & error, i can catch flying mosquitos one handed most times, with adequate all-round lighting the force is strong! hahaha QUOTE(polkiuj @ Mar 19 2010, 06:38 PM) |

Quark drop test... "After a combination of over 25 spinning, 10 foot-in-air-to-concrete throws and several direct-as-hard-as-I-could slams to solid concrete from my 5'8" frame, the light looks like it's been to hell and back but it still works exactly as new!" ![]() ![]() More info at the link above and more pics here: http://www.jimsflashlights.com/25915.html This post has been edited by pseudoblue: Mar 23 2010, 10:52 PM |

haha... due to weight and design, i don't think my 2-cell quarks will survive the same test.
also, one reason why SS bezel and tail-cap "protective" ring + o-ring helps, the glass cracked due to deform of the bezel which due to soft aluminum used in quark line. but I do think 4Sevens owes him a new Quark for doing this tho... |

Yea, it's also good to know that the circuit board is holding well in the head for the light to work still. And the protruding tailcap, or flat crenelation, kinda save the switch form internal injury. +1 for SS bezel + tailcap. also, one reason why SS bezel and tail-cap "protective" ring + o-ring helps, the glass cracked due to deform of the bezel which due to soft aluminum used in quark line. I think your quark 123^2 can survive it too. QUOTE(damonlbs @ Mar 24 2010, 01:01 AM) Wooohoo! Well how I wish the price is RM325 instead "The RRT-3 features an 8 pOsition Rapid Response Tactical Ring which allows the user to choose 6 different levels of brightness, as well as, storbe and standby functions." QUOTE(LightJunk @ Mar 24 2010, 06:54 AM) SOLD to mglamb of CPF Grats lightjunk! I'm sure you will miss that lovely light |
