Btw, just some heads up. There'll be another gathering for HIDs next month @ KD TRAIL, requested by Dannie! After checking out the HIDs, we will take the Trail! thumbup.gif I'm arranging with philightsophy first and see which date he is available to come up again, so he won't miss it this time smile.gif After the trail we will go to the mamak. So for those who are looking forward for this trail, stay tuned!

----------

AW R123 LifePO4 is also available @ GW2U now. I've tried their runtime on the RRT-0 and they last about 20 mins until dimming, vs CEJ's LifePO batteries @ 19 minutes. Not too great a difference and seems to be about the same.

But the test on QMini123 was only 22 minutes compared with CEJ's @ 30mins. I'm not sure what happened, but test I did was in a hotter environment though, and the fan was just adequate. hmm.gif Will do another test in the same environment as the first.

Please don't arrange the KD trail between these dates of 8-13 April we won't be around. Otherwise there will be no HID for viewing if it's between those dates. tongue.gif

I have a theory on that. =D
AW's have more total capacity (20 mins vs. 19 mins) than CEJ's.
AW's also have lower internal resistance therefor it's brighter (I dunno) and draws more current on a MiNi since it's not current regulated like the RRT-0.

It's a theory, the mini does feel hotter, but then, I don't know yet. smile.gif

Aiya, should have told me earlier, I don't have much time recently to go out to Pasar Road, it was selling RM50, normally it is RM52, that day the Boss (lady) chincai sell to me at RM50, haha tongue.gif

Oh, the light ah. It was came with a loose LED module, so I tighten it, but then the body won't touch the LED (-ve) side, so no light.

I put some tin using a soldering iron, so it will touch the -ve, and it is common China Made QC, but don't worry, all my Chinese light works perfectly.

Hey, I didn't check is the Lens has O-ring, if not, then you might need to put one, sometimes they FORGOT to put in an O-Ring at the lens.

Hey, want to share this light with you guys

Its uses a plastic Lens, no reflector, like those surefire TIR lens.

The hot spot was so tight, and almost no side spill.
Can take AA, CR123A, RCR123, 14500

its sucking 1.6A from a fully charged liCo 4.2V (suspect direct drive)

and compare to my surefire E1 Backup, its actually has a brighter output sweat.gif

Brightness is good at CR123A 3V or LifePO4, but dim for AA
but for the price of RM48, hehe icon_rolleyes.gif you can get a E1B output, and Nitecore look flashlight drool.gif

hotspot has a blue ring at the outer sphere, no harm if you use outdoor, though

The 3 mode is the interesting part, it always start with High, and you need to press it very quick to change mode to Medium and strobe. Which I like most. So you Off and On the light, it won't switch to next mode.

I bad thing is that, the Emitter is not glue into the driver module, it just sit on it with some white thermal paste . the Emitter is somehow snug into the TIR lens, and when u close it, it will press the Emitter heatsink into the driver module (aluminum), with the thermal paste, it get the heat dissipated.

SO far, running on High for 10 minutes is ok, but light get heated up so much that you can't really hold it.

Which one? The Stanley only available from the US though. But GW2U has brought in two more HIDs, hope they give some info on that on their sale site. biggrin.gif I've checked them out and they are really bright! drool.gif

Yea, was just doing general runtime check on two different LifePO4s, one from CEJ and AW. biggrin.gif

Good evening Guys,

I need to fund my other project and this beautiful light has to go cry.gif . Thought of selling it here before I go to CPF. Countrymen comes first.

Up for sale is a Mag 1D cut professionally by wquiles of CPF, to fit the length of AW IMR26500 cell with a deep tail cap mod to make it even shorter. The mod is a Direct Drive single 100% mode P7. Installed to it are P7 DSWOJ bin, P7 D Mag heat sink, 15mm reflector & AR Borosilicate lens, all from Britelumens. I'll include one AW IMR26500 cell and the battery sleeve. Nice beam. Condition is mint. LED powered less than 5 minutes. Battery has been through 2 charges.

I'm asking $170 = RM570 shipped Poslaju within Malaysia. I'm losing selling at this price. My professional workmanship is free biggrin.gif .

First I'll take it gets it. Not responsible for damages once it leaves my hand. Payment by Paypal(CC add 4%), Maybank2u or CIMBclicks is fine. I'll give it a week here before I go to CPF.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
LightJunk

Just tested, yes the head can put into the E series, I tried E1.

But the battery is not long enough to touch the + of the driver module, so the light won't on, unless do some mod.
