Hey Uncle Wong,

Yes and no. Depends.

Flashlights are taxable but if you don't exceed RM1000 it'll (most likely) not get taxed.
*
i remember it was < RM 500 if you declare it as a gift.
this amount includes the shipping as well.
sometimes, if you're lucky, they won't bother... but other times, it will be taxed.

I wish to buy one
I go to check with my local custom office
The officer told me , custom will tax 30%
Scared me

flashlights are taxed at 10% currently.
i think they revise it every year.

yes.... nod.gif < RM500 including shipping cost = no tax...

sometimes depends on lucky too......my previous Xeno GB worth USD1500++ [ RM5,000 ] no tax laugh.gif , Lumapower GB worth USD1000 also no tax laugh.gif laugh.gif [ i declare each the light at USD5 only tongue.gif laugh.gif ]

current GB value already exceed USD 1K.... don't know the fate yet sweat.gif ....... but chances is very high cos i'm buying insurance for it thus need to declare the actual value cost......unless everyone agree to under declare the value.... rolleyes.gif

Just a follow up guys, if you read the thread (it's just been updated) - it was found that the cell which was being used was NOT actually an AW RCR123 cell, but instead it was a primary CR123 which lacked (!!) PTC protection!

This is good news as AW cells are no longer implicated. The lesson is - using cheap/unbranded cells is toying with danger!

And as always - play safe with Lithiums / Lithium Ions!
Great info! Its very good that the AW and silverfox has personally taken this matter in more details and closely.

New Reflex Flashlights....
http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=217217

The lights feature a new technology of 'intelligent brightness control'.

What this essentially does is adjust from 24 auto levels the correct brightness For you, by automatically dimming when it senses too much reflection.

The idea was initially implemented to help first responders who fill out a lot of paperwork in the dark on the job. They would have a hard time looking at highly reflective material such as white paper due to the reflected light.

Good Morning Guys.
I like the look of that MiNi CR2. I don't get what you meant by "the offer is not good for us". Expensive or no demand?

i think is a MLM plan from 4sevens laugh.gif

like all people said in the thread
http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=218219

i just want the light icon_idea.gif

Batteries4Life Program

One of the issues we faced when deciding to produce a CR2 version of the Quark Mini was the issue of battery availability. Although they are not impossible to find, CR2 batteries are difficult to source and tend to be somewhat pricey. From the start, we decided that we would only produce a CR2 Mini if we could ensure an adequate supply of CR2 batteries for our customers. So, we did a lot of searching, and we’re happy to say that we’ve secured a very good source for our very own CR2 batteries! We will be including two 4Sevens-brand CR2 batteries with every Mini CR2.

Each Mini CR2 purchase also includes enrollment into one of our “Batteries4Life” plans. We really wanted to provide a great service to our customers for this special flashlight, to ensure that you always have a battery and thus your pockets are never empty or dark. So, we created the Batteries4Life program to provide our domestic customers with 10 years of CR2 batteries at the interval of your choice! For our international customers, this program provides 3 years of batteries (due to higher shipping costs).

When you purchase a Mini CR2, you choose to enroll in one of three Batteries4Life plans:

· Plan A: One CR2 battery every six (6) months: INCLUDED!
· Plan B: One CR2 battery every three (3) months: +$70.00
· Plan C: One CR2 battery every one (1) month: +$250.00

Enrollment is simple and just about automatic. When you purchase your Mini CR2 on 4Sevens.com, you will be required to choose one of the plans from the drop-down box.

You will receive an automated email at the interval you purchased (every 1, 3, or 6 months). You will simply need to click the included link to verify your shipping address and we’ll send you out your CR2 battery right away! And at the end of your term, if you'd like to renew the program, you'll be given the option to resubscribe (more details on that a little later).

For full details on our Batteries4Life program, including the Terms of Service, please visit the following link:
