Mr. President, appreciate if you not make my previous collection as the anchor image in V4. Please give that honour to some of the other guys here. It's has been an honour to have been the anchor image for V3. My collection have shrunk very much due to the recent sale and more stuff will be on the chopping block again soon.
Heys yeap, I'm still thinking which image to put, hehe.. hrmm maybe LightJunk's surefire family with his pelican case brows.gif

Got the Leef 3X18650 C - M body yesterday. Here's a few pictures to share with you guys. Comparing it to M6 & Megalennium side by side. It's 1.5' in length nod.gif

Enjoy.

Btw, about your LD10 UE version, Direct Drive XPG tongue.gif - As I recalled our test comparison at GW2U, the voltage on the 14500 was at around 3.9v? And drawing ~700mA..
I am still very surprised with how efficient the heat management on that mod with AW 14500 (talking about this battery only). Even with lower vf than XRE or XPE. Running DD with 14500 on an XRE can get really hot, but not on the XPG it seems. Is it because the XPG tolerances can take up to 1.5A? Or is it really because of the thermal compound mixture used? I think it's both. But what do you think? It looks like the XPGs can really be driven harder with the proper thermal compound and heatsink designed used.  hmm.gif

Reminds me that Lightjunk's tripple XPG DD with 18650 with that awesome customed heatsink design is gonna rock the world!  drool.gif

It could be strinq!!
Is it you strinq? I think it is! *poke* Is it??

I'm really surprised at it too! It starts getting warm only at about 5 mins! Incredilble!! XR-E gets hot in seconds!
I'm thinking XP-G is that much more efficient and also produces far less heat (the reason why I'm so impressed with this emmiter).
But it might also be the fact that Fadhil mounted the whole XP-G + board as opposed to XR-E which was mounted direct onto the light.
Proper application of thermal compound of course helps as well.
I think the XP-G can be driven to incredible levels and still be fairly efficient.
My light is drawing close to 800mA on fully charged batt. Should be ~278lm - 300lm @ emitter. ~250 OTF that I measure (not accurate but close).
I'm even amazed at the efficiency of the make-shift optic i used! Haha!

So newspaper, when we gonna see ur ET DD XP-g? =D

****Just noticed, XP-G has cool white, OUTDOOR white, neutral white and warm white! Hahaha!! You know what's sad??
Notes:
• Cree maintains a tolerance of +/- 7% on flux and power measurements.
• Typical CRI for Cool White and Neutral White (3,700 K - 10,000 K CCT) is 75.
• Typical CRI for Outdoor White (4,000 K - 5,300 K CCT) is 70.
• Typical CRI for Warm White (2,600 K - 3,700 K CCT) is 80.
OUTDOOR WHITE HAS PATHETIC CRI!! =O

This light will be like the crazy CREE thrower that GW2U has. Performs like a crazy light but has quality close to none (like no quality, really). You gotta mod it a lot to get it to work nicely. =D

@Lightjunk - Wow! Love those Leef bodies man. Thought of getting one previously. =D

AW Protected Cell also can KABOOM!!!!

http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=262262

Waiting for the OP's reply so AW can give more proper insight what actually happened. The built in anti-explosion vent/PTC module should have prevented it but....  sweat.gif

Just a follow up guys, if you read the thread (it's just been updated) - it was found that the cell which was being used was NOT actually an AW RCR123 cell, but instead it was a primary CR123 which lacked (!!) PTC protection!

This is good news as AW cells are no longer implicated. The lesson is - using cheap/unbranded cells is toying with danger!

And as always - play safe with Lithiums / Lithium Ions!

Hey Uncle Wong,

Yes and no. Depends.

Flashlights are taxable but if you don't exceed RM1000 it'll (most likely) not get taxed.

So far I haven't been taxed, but you should be aware that things can go missing. A flashlight I ordered back in January from the US has presumably gone missing. Use insurance / tracking if possible! However, all my stuff from Hong Kong via registered mail has arrived safely so far.
