i would like to ask desire owners here do you face any spotty, weak 3g connectivity issues? Coz the hardware is same as nexus one rite?

The phone is not officially on sale in Malaysia yet but it's interesting that:-
1. This LYN thread is on Page 56 !!!
2. There are already about 10 (or more) owners reported here
3. The phone has officially been rooted
4. HTC has moved on to hype about their 4G phones and Desire seems like "OLD" news oredi.
5. Many iPhone fanbois are looking at this as a replacement and know this to be THE iPhone killer.

and PS. I couldn't wait and got myself the Legend instead. But might still be swayed to buy this once I feel it in my hands... Desire indeed.

looks like UK is out of stock for HTC Desire
Handtec can get the stock and sell with higher price but u can get in normal price at end of May
clove also no stock until end of may..

mayb international release will be delay too?

quick quick, before the deal runs out.. and online, earliest delivery date is next friday but they've got the phone in-stock already.. so i just grab on the spot lol. it's brown, yes. that 399 quids price is the one i saw on play.com, fully unlocked n stuff. perhaps u can get a better deal on that for 330

looking at your "track" record, i am very sure 99% the Desire will be in your hands once is available

but i tot the optical scroll is different in black colour?

For those who still thinking to buy htc android device. I think its rugi to buy Legend bcoz its spec is half than Desire which are 600mhz processor, 380mb ram, 3.2inch screen. But its up to your budget n taste :-)

And for those waiting for Evo 4G, by the time its going to be launched, htc will introduce another new high-end device that drolls anyone. And u will keep waiting for new device. U know la htc punya perangai, they launch new device every 3 month

HTC desire seems only have 100+ MB available for the user to install apps. Is it enough? I still thinking either to get this or Legend. Desire still dont have ori in Malaysia, I hope Digi or Maxis will got a package price for it so I dont have to pay like 3k for it.

yes,desire only has 100+MB available for the ROM after all the OS,sense,etc installed..
n i heard the apps take few spaces only like around 1mb?
but next update can let u install apps at memory card i guess

Exzeus game already taken 60mb , I have installed other apps too .... now left 10mb ++ .. Zzz sigh ... not all apps is 1 2mb ... some of them might be 10mb ++ , like swype ..

I heard it was an security issue so android only allow software to be install on the phone memory. They should either allow it to install on memory card or have bigger ROM for the phone.

but they gif a hint that will let user install on the memory card at next update..thats what i heard and saw from google forum by google employee.
i think if u use lower class memory card like class 2 and install games inside, it is quite a bit slower to run or mayb lag becausr of slow read/write
