QUOTE(dj.sars @ Mar 10 2010, 05:21 PM) i think d90 kit lens (18-135mm, f3.5) + flash (built in or speedlight) will do..or if u aim for more zoom then can get 18~200mm lens..or get d tamron 17~50mm, f2.8..wider than kit lens 1mm and f2.8..i using this lens and is very good for most kind of shooting QUOTE(y_owez @ Mar 10 2010, 07:01 PM) guys.need some price advise d5000 come with kit lens? hmm sound like worth it..coz new 1 with kitlens cost around 2.6~2.7k..i guess nikon d5000 + sandisk ultra 4gb ( rm 145 ) + hoya filter ( 140 ) + hood ( rm 40 )+ free screen protector = 2839 worth it? |

QUOTE(y_owez @ Mar 10 2010, 10:13 PM) thanks. I mean, forget the price. Just 'include' it in the deal and bargain gao gao. (:correction, price quoted was for sandisk extreme i dont want the bag.will get crumpler instead.. isnt filter to protect the lens? Crumplers are like the Gucci of camera bags (well to me that is). Good choice. |

Hi, I am considering the Canon 550D with EFs18-55IS at RM3,113 (RRP) but at the same time I'm not sure if I topup RM800 for D90 with 18-105mm will it be better. I know both D90 and Canon 550D is of different class/level. I'm just a newbie in photography, any recommendation. Thank you

QUOTE(jloi @ Mar 10 2010, 11:00 PM) Both are worth the price, if you get what I mean la. I couldn't get stock for Crumpler 7MDH for 2 months, got fed up, got a Bagman. QUOTE(y_owez @ Mar 11 2010, 06:22 PM) hood is usless huh? Yes filter is to prevent damage to lenses. Also blocks out UV rays but considered 'obsolete' now so primarily protects the lens from dust and scratches.i thought filter is too prevent damages to the lenses? Added on March 11, 2010, 6:26 pmand would it be cheaper buying at duty free in airport? Hood is useless. I can bet you they'll give you a cheap petal hood which interferes with the lens (at 18mm severe vignetting is seen). I wouldn't know about the duty free thing in airports though. Sorry about that one, can't help. |

Also extra batteries I can direct you to a seller which sells 3rd party ones which are as good for about RM50+. Adding on, you can do fine with a SanDisk SDHC Class 2. I've got a Class 2 8GB and it works perfectly fine. Don't matter about the Classes, entry-level cameras like ours can't really shoot high-speed anyway (3fps is not fast). |
