Interested to know, i am from Miri Sarawak
In your place, when buying a camera did they give any gift?
Here, Canon 500D and Nikon D5000 both come with 4GB card, Bag, UV Filter, and screen proctector
In Kuching i heard they give tripod too

Worth it?
Canon 500D is RM 3288 with kit

im in miri right now tongue.gif yeah same gifts. sometimes got tripod, but crappy ones u wont want to use anyway

rm3288 sounds expensive. shudnt b more than 3k. miri isnt a good place to buy a camera sad.gif

I saw in canon website, with lens is rm3k, body only is 2k++. Miri one is with lens kit.
Where u get urs then?

normally i went to Pudu Plaza, theres a shop opposite the arcade game center. if not wrong was called digitalmania.
can get good price there and the shopkeeper is a very good manner guy oso.
if not just go survey in LYP or sg.wang and nego with them lor.
FYI, standard package comes with a 4gb sdhc card + kit lense + bag (n of course the manual books, cd rom n strap....) just to prepare u coz alot of those culprits took it out and ask u to pay higher for those item.

acc :
ranged from big item like batt grip + additional batt, tripod, small item like cleaning kit, gray card, UV filter,remote control n etc...(got so many things to choose from)

canon website is the MSRP. normally shops will sell less that that price.

uh mine is 2nd hand lol...from some guy in pahang i think

both are solid choices but for different usage. try to decide whether u need the zoom range of the fz35 or not, and whether u can tolerate its size n weight. only u can decide tongue.gif

bintulu ah..no plans hehe. nikon d5000 is good...but if really want good portrait u buy nikon d3000 kit around rm2k and af-s nikkor 35mm f1.8G lens around rm850. im currently using this lens n very happy with my portraits smile.gif

I am undecided. May experts here help me out. Thanks in advance. notworthy.gif Carrefour is selling Olympus FE400 for Rm599 (free 8 GB card) and Canon A480 for RM399 . Are they worth it?

if budget is more than 4k, and you want a nikon, of course is D90 since it has build in AF motor.

get D5000 and in future prepare to pay more got lens

d5000 slightly better sensor (=better pics), can record video, n the LCD can tilt2

ofcoz its better than d3000 tongue.gif up to u, spend extra money on better camera, or spend on better lens
