I start to grow the hobby for photograph. Not to be a professional photographer. Just wanna have some fun taking photo around. I prefer the photo quality ( high resolution and clear ), focus an object such as flower ( The background blur, what we call that ? blink.gif ).

if budget is more than 4k, and you want a nikon, of course is D90 since it has build in AF motor.

get D5000 and in future prepare to pay more got lens
*
sorry for a noob question
actually if got the motor and dont have the motor whats the difference ?
i was thinking of saving more in order to get lenses thats why i asked about d5000 as well

if d body din built in AF motor, certain lens (tat dun have AF motor as well) cant autofocus..for eg Nikon entry lvl cam like D40, D60, D3000, D5000 doesnt built in AF Motor..so when attach to 50mm f1.8 lens kenot auto focus, must manual focus.

Well, IMHO, if u r new u might test wif entry lvl cam such as Nikon D3000 or D60 (d noise performance is better than D3000). For D5000, d image quality is slighly better than D3000/D60 and wif video and live view capability..other than tat is not much difference. And it more expensive (Rm800 difference)..i might as well spend d RM800 and get Sb-600 flash XP..If u have plenty money, then straight go to D90. Learn play wif kit lens first then only upgrade to other lens depending on what kind photography u love and wan to do. Alot ppl simply buy lens and in d end just keep it aside wif dust..LOL

if no motor, u need to use lenses that has motor to autofocus. that's the AF-S series. u can stil use lens w/o motor la but quite a hassle to manually focus everytime...

AF-S are more expensive compared to the non-AFS equivalent. e.g. 50mm f1.4D is only about rm1k...but the AFS version is rm1.8k~

ofcoz the newer AF-S got more improvements lah... got manual focus override w/o needing to switch, internal focusing (good if u use graduated filters)

range of AF-S are very good already so for me it's not a big deal

assuming u want to take photos of the club environment... d5000 tilting LCD could prove useful to frame shots above ur head.

of course in low light, ideally u get the D3S la for the high native ISO, but d90 n d300s ISO performance more or less the same with d5000.

juz get d5000 body only, then pair with a fast zoom lens, maybe tamron 17-50 2.8

bro u r wrong...D90 noise control AKA ISO performance is much better than D5000. and some article stated that nikon DSLR wif 4 digit series usually pic quality is not good and compressed to low quality. just my opinion, get D90 body which cost 3.1k better than get D5000 body (i think around 2.5k.correct me if i wrong)..not to mention D90 is mid range, D5000 is entry lvl smile.gif cheers thumbup.gif
