After purchasing the camera, I'll be buying anoter lens for far range, additional battery and other accesories as well. Total up is about RM5.6k. I'll have to save a little bit longer if I were to grab the Nikon D7000. Thanks alot bro for the input. Have audition the D7000 and I love it alot. What's stopping me from buying is the price.
*
yeah the D7000 price is quite steep for the moment. give it some time and it will drop slowly. but thats just gonna make u wait longer. if u have decided of the D90, then that's fine bro. its a great camera as well. its just that, when i started photography, my uncle (which is my teacher) told me, that i should get a decent body so that when i learned enuf, i wouldnt have to change bodies no more. just stick to buying lenses and improving myself. but i refuse to listen to him, and now i want to change my body. and i regret it. its jsut a piece of story tho. either u r choosing D90 or D7000, both are still great cameras. as in my case, i took the 1000D. and now im craving for more.lolz laugh.gif

Already got some pricing for both Nikon D90 and the D7000. Price difference is about RM1.4k - RM1.6k. I will have to revised my financial budget if I were to get the D7000. I agree with what you have said. In fact, I am just like you. Rather one shot invest in a good one that can last me for many years to come instead of spending more money to invest every now and then.

I need help with choosing between 2 dslrs

1. Sony a55
2. Canon 60D

I know it is nicer to go to Canon cause it is easier to get lens and it's the cheapest among all ...

I don't see a reason for not choosing Sony a55

Can anyone please help me in this ?

what makes you think its not easy to get lens for sony? ok fine. sony doesn't have a dedicated tilt shift, or 50mm f1.2 or a 85mm f1.2. will u be using those lenses straight away?

and what makes you think canon is the cheapest among all? rclxub.gif

Frankly, Zstan has a point. There is no such thing as hard to get lens for Sony lol. Go 2 big photography chain and I'm sure they do carry Sony lenses.

Everyone's a fan of a camera brand in its own way. Does not mean he/she ish a fan boy. He put this comment in a nice way anyways.

@Comot - D3100 has no AF motor in its body. If you will be using prime lenses, you gotta MF for some primes. So think wisely biggrin.gif

im sorry but i need to ask u about this AF in body thingy. i read somewhere that most nikon and canon didnt put AF motor in their bodies. so they put it in their lenses. is that true? unlike sony, they have the 'steady shot' inside their body right? and another thing, like u said, the D3100 dont have any in body AF motor, so wut kind of primes that wont work with it (i mean u mentioned some primes, one have to manual focus it)? is it the old primes? or the new ones? im really sorry to bother u with such question. and thank u in advance sir smile.gif

Tony. Lets say I purchase the Nikon D90/D7000 with 18-105mm lens. Is it advisable if I purchase another lens which is Tamron AF 18-270mm F3.5-6.3 Di II VC for travelling purposes as I preferred to have one lens for that reason. Thanks for your advice bro.

How much will one roungly cost? Am a little bit tight in terms of budget. And if I were to purchase this, wouldn't it be a problem if I were to take close up picture? Forgive my noobness and I'm slowly venturing into this field.
