I have the option of getting the 50D with a EF-S 18-135mm IS Lens Kit for RM3663

alternatively I could get the newer 550D with a EF-S 17-85mm IS USM for RM3803.

I'm kinda torned between the 2 as one has video recording capability while the other is a body targeted at more advanced users. This will be my first DSLR as well.
EDIT: Just noticed another kit lens option for the 50D with the 17-85 IS USM which is for RM3584. Figured it would be a better comparison if the lenses were the same.

I was thinking of getting a dslr camera for entry level.
Currently comparing couple of brand such as Sony, Canon and Nikon.
No idea what to look for. Looking at Sony A200, Nikon D3000 and Canon 1000D. But feeling like A200 is a bit outdated.

me, first timer dslr player... an entry level should be able to satisfy me! hahaaa! just hope it don lead me for more!

if you take portrait with it, you can see the model's skin's poreeee summore eh 
to make your life simple, lol... cmos is better (for most of the cases). google is your next best candidate if you need really "chim" technical explanation!

D90 has a good built, feels solid. and it's easier and faster to control cause it has 2 dials for aperture and shutter separately.

that's the least that you need to worry. they would normally last for days or may go up to thousands shots before you need to recharge depending on your shooting needs.  

picking up what you like is more important. 

about the warranty, that's correct. 

whoa~ can last for days ar? even if i snap it d and view it right away? tat's fantastic... now that makes a strong point to scrap the idea of buying another compact cams (as mine spoilt d) and get a dslr instead...

so both canon and the nikon are as good ha? now i'm deciding between this two but seeing the warranty that canon covers 3years... tat's a bonus!

Currently im using 40D with kitlens+55-250mm IS, 50mm f1.8 and nissin flash and im thinking to upgrade my lens and lighting equipment.

But lately i having second tought, there options are :
My budget around 9k

1 ) 17-55/24-105mm L+flash 580exII+studio light equipment = around rm7.7k

or

2 ) sell 40D+lens+budget = around 13k = buy 5DMarkII and kitlens+flash 580exII

which one i should go...??appreciate ur opinion..

Today I borrow my colleague Canon/ Fuji/ Agfa digicam and shoot some samples of the meeting room (yellow light, not quite bright). My boss like the Fuji natural colour & sharpness. I told him Fuji is not popular and the best model is F200EXR about RM1200 which out of budget. I then read some review and found that predecessor of F200EXR like F100fd & F50fd are the best low light model back in 2008. He is willing to increase budget to RM800+. I can't find the price of F100fd or F50fd. anyone knows?
