QUOTE(AronC @ Nov 22 2010, 01:52 PM) In that case, Canon 550D with 18-55mm kit lens, and add-on 1 more EF-S 55-250mm lens. Never ever go for a 550D + 18-200mm lens. I know it's convenient, however the price performance is like bloody hell. The bundle kit 550D + 18-55mm kit + 55-250mm will costs you around RM3700, but 550D + 18-200mm will costs you around RM4400. With the difference of RM700 you can buy a lot of camera accessories already. What about Nikon brand? Any comment on Nikon's model. Do not want to limit my choices to only Canon. Thanks alot for the tips bro. Really helpful for a beginner like me.

QUOTE(*angel of love* @ Nov 23 2010, 10:14 PM) between nikon p7000, p100 & l110, which 1 will be the best choice? I have only tried the P100 and not much to compare. But I must say that this model is good enough for entry level. But don't expect results by using this camera since they have their own limitation as well.

Do enlighten me on this matter. What would be your best advice. Prior to my previous post, I have decided to go with Nikon model. Would you guys recommend me to go with either Nikon D90 or Nikon 5000. Can't afford to go with D7000 due to budget constraint. Since the package comes with 18-105mm lens, I decided to purchase another lens. And one of the forummer here recommend me to get a 55-300. What model of lens would you advice me. Thanks bro for your time and effort. Still new in DSLR. This post has been edited by night: Nov 24 2010, 10:22 AM

QUOTE(Tony Stark @ Nov 24 2010, 03:23 PM) err. u sure dont wanna go with the D7000? the D7k is the successor to the D90 model. (duhh..surely u know this already ) wut im trying to say is, if ur budget is rm4k, add abit more, and get the D7k. its worth it. the 1080p HD movie mode, higher ISO setup, tougher body, new AF system (that's all i can think of). it may cost u abit more, but its definitely worth the money. atleast that's wut i heard. but if u still going with the D90, its really up to u bro. its ur money, its ur choice. make a wise one After purchasing the camera, I'll be buying anoter lens for far range, additional battery and other accesories as well. Total up is about RM5.6k. I'll have to save a little bit longer if I were to grab the Nikon D7000. Thanks alot bro for the input. Have audition the D7000 and I love it alot. What's stopping me from buying is the price.

QUOTE(Tony Stark @ Nov 24 2010, 08:30 PM) yeah the D7000 price is quite steep for the moment. give it some time and it will drop slowly. but thats just gonna make u wait longer. if u have decided of the D90, then that's fine bro. its a great camera as well. its just that, when i started photography, my uncle (which is my teacher) told me, that i should get a decent body so that when i learned enuf, i wouldnt have to change bodies no more. just stick to buying lenses and improving myself. but i refuse to listen to him, and now i want to change my body. and i regret it. its jsut a piece of story tho. either u r choosing D90 or D7000, both are still great cameras. as in my case, i took the 1000D. and now im craving for more.lolz Already got some pricing for both Nikon D90 and the D7000. Price difference is about RM1.4k - RM1.6k. I will have to revised my financial budget if I were to get the D7000. I agree with what you have said. In fact, I am just like you. Rather one shot invest in a good one that can last me for many years to come instead of spending more money to invest every now and then.

Tony. Lets say I purchase the Nikon D90/D7000 with 18-105mm lens. Is it advisable if I purchase another lens which is Tamron AF 18-270mm F3.5-6.3 Di II VC for travelling purposes as I preferred to have one lens for that reason. Thanks for your advice bro.

QUOTE(leongkokloon @ Nov 25 2010, 01:20 PM) why not consider 70-300 VR? How much will one roungly cost? Am a little bit tight in terms of budget. And if I were to purchase this, wouldn't it be a problem if I were to take close up picture? Forgive my noobness and I'm slowly venturing into this field.
