i think u should look up the lx5. that's the competitor to the s95. both are high end compacts. lx5 may have some tricks up its sleeve like zooming while video recording. and there's a hot shoe port as well. to be honest, this argument (lx5 vs s95) has been going on everywhere. some say the s95 is better, some the the lx5 is. but. they have a big diff when it comes to size. the s95 is slimmer and more pocket-able. while the lx5 is abit beefier with its larger lens,the upper hot shoe, and it comes with a lens cap.i dont own any of these cameras but i've hold em. both are high end compacts which can produce great images IMO. the lx5 is bigger and not pocket-able unless ur wearing cargo pants or u're putting it in a bag. but the lx5 has got some features the s95 dont. like the continuous AF in movie mode, a hot shoe, higher burst rate *2.5fps vs 1.9fps* (really,does this matter?:D), longer battery life..but the s95, is slimmer,smaller, more compact camera. u can easily put it in ur pocket, turn it on, snap a pic. :) so if u dont need all the stuffs that the lx5 can offer, and u want a smaller n more compact camera, go for the s95. but if u dont mind about size, i think the lx5 can deliver u well. its all about the matter of size really :)

thanks a lot for your feedback!! I'm actually really tempted to get LX5 but the price range is off the budget i'm given ): I figured that I wouldn't miss the features on LX5 too much if i don't think about it. though mannn i am tempted! sighhh

but given the option of S95 against LX3 for the same price, which one so you think is better? or is LX3 really less superior to S95?

LX3 - mid range (rm1350), in-btw size but i don't think its pocketable either. more battery life compared to S95?
LX5 - +++ features! haha the thing is i'm not sure how well i'll appreciate them! though seeing picture comparisons, lx5 has the best images... so tempting!

in the end i'm as undecided as ever! I think image quality wise i'll be happy with either of them!
Was leaning more towards LX3 as compared to S95 in the beginning as the specs seems to be a little better? is this true? i probably understand only 70% of that haha
S95 has better video, but I dont really take that many vids... but yeahhh its SLIM! as compared to LX3 n 5 which has the lense jutting out. I'm not too sure if size really matters... I've always been stuffing all my previous cameras in my bag. I think i really have to go to the shop and hold them in my hands!

It is me again. I saw some of fren playing with their instant camera. It is realy cool  and convinient. so i wonder how much it cost 4 one. and also suggest me a few models

what makes you think its not easy to get lens for sony? ok fine. sony doesn't have a dedicated tilt shift, or 50mm f1.2 or a 85mm f1.2. will u be using those lenses straight away?

and what makes you think canon is the cheapest among all?
