hey bro, i m a beginner, just narrowed down my options into this 2 camera. The above is about the same price but if i go for canon i ll get a less capable body but more flexible zoom lens wheres Nikon will give me a better body with shorter zoom lens, do u guys thinks 18-105mm is enough for normal outings n holiday use. Which 1 should i go for?

If u wanna get a DSLR jus for fun, den mayb u hunt for the entry level DSLR which are 1000D for Canon n D3000 for Nikon... get a 2nd hand 1 if u wanna save some money... try it urself by holding it on ur hand to see which 1 give u a more comfortable feeling...

IMO, i will prefer D90 for its noise control... for normal outing n holiday use, u dun need to zoom till so far rite?? so, itz ok i think... but no matter wat, jus try it in the shop to see whether u lik the feeling of the DSLR on ur hand anot...

LX3 will be my choice... tried LX3 be4 and heard a lot of good reviews from my frenz tat owned it...

try find 2nd hand D5000 or 1000D if u wan to get tat price with flash...fits ur requirement for a light weight, small n high MP...

1400 maybe can only get 2nd hand LX3.. brand new around 1.5-1.6k.

2nd hand Nikon D40 w kit lens and SB600 mighttt fit in ur budget

only Shangri-la & Canon have stock
both offered RM2300 with Kit EFS 18-55 + 4GB SDHC Card + Canon Case
Cant find any cheaper.....

For your reference , panasonic lumix ZS3 shooting not bad(internet reviews) and HD recording which I watch from youtube also satisfy...but I dont know whether this is big bang for bucks anot...
Where I can buy with 0% monthly installment if possible? I am still studying but I need a camera because my old one broken .. size and appearance doesnt matter , I need performance .. best bang for buck please !

i thought i already replied u...n i believe anyone would say the same thing...

forget the d-lux4 if u want good zoom. according to ur preferences, get the GF1. else juz get a DSLR n zoom lens

For that kind of amount of budget, I would invest in Pentax K-x and use the remaining money for good glasses
Why stick to C,N and S only? Try check out the features of K-x

I'm having problem to choose from canon 7d and nikon d300s. I am still a beginner doesn't have any of nikon nor canon lenses and equipment.

if u r sony fan then A230 suits u or A330

how but the lumix LX3? i wont prefer sony if u r on high budget...

nikon D3000, sony A230 and Canon 1000D all within ur budget and the kitlens is sufficient for landscape pics...

sure dont want to buy cheaper camera n spend on flashgun / lenses?
