I want to learn to shoot photos professionally with a decent camera that I can start with. I have normal lumix shoot and point camera but that doesn't give me good crisp sharp photo. i need a more professional camera to learn and play with. so need some advise here as which camera good for beginner. what's is prosumer camera by the way?

My camera is broken and need to get one soon. I am not a good photographer and want to take photos during the trip. I will also use it to take some machinery photos for my work. Hence I don't need very complicated camera feature but I have a shaky hand. Hence, I prefer a camera that has the best value over price. Please help me out. TQ  |

I want to buy 500D body. As a beginner more focused on learning, should I stick with the 18-55mm kit lens or go for a better general-purpose lens? My friend recommended the 17-85mm or the 18-135mm lens. What are your opinions? Thanks.
