guys, need advice here. like the D90 sensor quality and lenses choice, but 2 years old dslr model (should i wait the replacement newer model?)

the A550 (is the image quality difference a lot than d90)
before use a350 but sold already (don't like high iso performance, thought that flash can help, but not all situation can use flash)

k-x, very nice high iso performance, but lack of accessories
like no vertical grip
and the SR issues i found in the webs really freaks me out
since hard to dealing with warranty here
(i like a lot the white color , and the price can get me a 50mm f1.4)

bro, how bout if getting a dslr around that price for 2nd hand, which model do u suggest? currently in mind are 350d & 400d, any better slr compare to this?

Folks, I dont mind getting a secondhand, as its going to be a long time investment.

i dunno the price for 400d now, but if u can get 400D better la compared to 350D. else can get nikon D40.

yea.. quite confusing la bro.. haiz, compact= easy to carry , dlsr= better qualty, feels like prosumer is in between them... really hard for me to make a decision...

for ur 2nd question...of course DSLR is better but semi pro is good enough for leaning la..as long as u learn about PSAM modes, composition, flash, etc etc.. can take good pictures already. juz that DSLR pics has better quality, n u can always change lenses depending on the situation

mmmmm, i'm thinking of getting a semi-pro cos i'm having a 3 month break from uni to learn about photography... DSLR is a bit too expensive....

Any specific features u want? : Good image quality and color reproduction. Good in low light conditions. Fast start-up. No need for super-high resolutions. Manual settings is a plus. Not a fan of shiny, futuristic-looking cameras, prefer something retro-looking, black is good!
