How much did you paid for a low grade red?
I also have thoughts of getting the traditional Golden Arowana. What is it called now? I was at Legend, he quoted me in Cantonese 'High Back' For about RM 1K only. |

@eugene Its about 5 inches. Quite small. But he said they have bigger specimen too.
I just came back from Kien Fat Kepong. The aro on display was very impressive. Huge and majestic. I looked around the shop. Couldnt find a super red/Chilli on sale. Only some 1/2 and 2nd grade red at RM 350. Also on display are some aro priced around 6.5 K. |

What is it called now? I was at Legend, he quoted me in Cantonese 'High Back' For about RM 1K only. golden arowana distinguish by certain types... there is highback(lowest grade of gold) then crossback above 3.5k...depends on quality and now a new breed, gold head...4.5k and above.. QUOTE(beyond @ Jul 11 2010, 03:24 PM) @eugene Its about 5 inches. Quite small. QUOTE(helangkawi @ Jul 11 2010, 08:22 PM) just installed new internal water filter brand sun sun, 8wt and affordable to 600L flow u can slow the flow rate a bit by attaching a sponge to the intake of the pump....the lfs shud sell the black sponge ...just ask them to show you how to attach the sponge but my 4 inch YT can't take the current, already packed it back if the sponge is too big, u'll just have to get a razor blade to trim it down haha also you can reduce the flow by turning it sideways if possible and let it only blow from the ground...where the water circulation will be lesser on the top area of the tank where your aro prefers to stay around however based on your tank size, i wud recommend to start getting a bigger one soon This post has been edited by leong2084: Jul 11 2010, 08:57 PM |

Agree with Leong. Since your tank is small, 600L flow might created too strong current for your aro to handle.

If it is XB, sure i will crossed no matter in what tank you put it in. Its just a matter of time. This post has been edited by saif_bear: Jul 11 2010, 11:16 PM |
