hey is a red 2 aro about 600 worth it? around 6inch

i mean grade 2.. for a banjar red i can get it at around 350
but so far i see grade 2 is nicer than a banjar

any advice? banjar red or grade 2 red...

how about their price on those that u have mentioned?

hmm..i see..hence those more quality ones will easily fetch over 1k right?

ohh..some are honest to me..even he was selling 1.5..he told me that 1.5 wont turn out as nice as 2...so he said.. if u wanted a nicer one...than u should look for a grade 2 rather than 1.5 which we dont have it here....hmm...headache.. @@

4 X 2 X 2.....i dunno what filtration it is called..it's those build in at the side of the aquarium.. i already had two bichir and four oscar in that aquarium..
but i really didn't thought of getting an aro that expensive...before that i thought of getting one below 500... now this grade 2 i saw is already over budget... but it's really much redder than any others ranging from 300-500(banjar red and grade 1.5, that's what those shop name em) that i've saw so far...been from jalan pasar to kuchai laman, then to sea park, then to taman ikan emas to look for aro.. lol...took me 4 hours on close observations

total, I've been to 10 shop so far

i brought the grade 2 red at RM520.. love it! lol....nah they won't attack the aro...instead they are afraid of my aro.. coz my oscar is even smaller..haha...upgrade...hmm..i think i wont be upgrading it lo...coz after checking for so many shop, couldn't find any blood red... i would prefer a blood red..but never seen any shop selling..irene aquarium in seapark got one as an example only..they ain't selling it...it's beautiful..

but if they would offer me good price perhaps i would upgrade...but who will wants a grade 2 red, i suppose

lol...my aquarium is at my shop...morning surely got feed them..coz work.. then night if close that night, like tonight then i will have to go feed em later on...

something really bad happened...and it's a f!@# up shit...i was taking picture of it..then i opened the cover, and then i heard my ringtone,
so i went for the phone..and forgotten to cover it back...when i reached my phone, the call were hang up..then after putting down my mobile,
i heard some weird sound, "plak plak plak"...and i wonder wat was that? then i realize my aro had jumped out...WTF....i quickly grab it and put it back into the aquarium...
but it was too late for it's hard fin ray and caudal fin..the hard fin ray was totally torn off..and the caudal fin was torn 70%.. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

not yet take..i got no mood to take any pic after that incident... =(

coz it's just the 2nd day in the tank..so, for sure it still feels threatened with the new environment...more over, it jumped like, 4-6feet away from the tank,
and probably due to dryness from the floor that causes it to loses moist in it's tail..and bending from the jump that break the tail, i believe so...cause when i wanna caught it to release it back into the tank,
it jumped like hell....if i closed my storeroom door, i think my aro would have died, as for me not noticing it had jump out from the tank if i had not heard the "plak plak plak" sound...
sigh...but still, i will do whatever i could to make it feels better lo..

brought some S1 green medicine for it...

oh yea, will my aro able to feed on centipede at this side? i would like to see how it will eat a centipede.. lol

i asked some price
centipede = RM2.50/piece
SW = RM38/kgs

it the above price considered cheap?

Added on April 11, 2010, 12:10 pmteohha, add some black water into the your tank, coz aro prefer slightly acidic water 6.0-7.0 pH...and try to change the background to black if u could, so that when it grows, the scale colour would grow much nicer when it,s age more than 2 years

i am spraying my whole tank with black spray...except for the front view la...but gonna cover it with black plastic will only open the lighting and the cover for like 1-2hours a day for feeding..

salt? i havent added any salt into the water..how much should i put? if u know the measurement in gram would be even better for a 4feet tank... and erm, why do i need to have some noise atmosphere for the fish?

so the lights...turn it on during the day time and turn it off during the night?

water temp is buy the heater? should maintain at what temperature?

i see i see.ok ok..can i use normal cooking salt? HAHA
