Patience bro. Some aro might clear the 5 level fast, some are slow (in case if HighBack). Depends on the gene and enviroment you keep it. Keep it in white tank to make it clear faster. Keep it in black tank to increase the gold intensity. Just my 2cent.

dunno much about tanning but if it can make your aro redder without harming its eyes then i guess so gua haha

hey urs is what red? looks like super red to me..super red aro will never turn like chilli red or blood red...super red will either be orange red or yellow red...

frenly, urs is xback gold le..wont turn out liddat...and a, ur previous picture, i detect a scale without shine, i strongly suggest u to fed ur aro with mp cutlet once a week, coz prawn can enchant aro's scale
colour, giving it more shine and also repair their scale much faster...no need feed mp everyday, once a week is good edi...coz if u feed to much mp, could lead to disease...

Bro Leggedy,

I got your SMS but already 12 plus so dare not disturb u ..so far DE problem still the same but i guess a little improvement after covering the whole tank.

It is my 2nd week doing that and hopefully in 2 weeks time i will see improvement.

Haven't feed Market Prawn at the moment.
I only fed him 2 Bull Frogs a day.
I just found out that a nearby LFS selling centipede which cost rm 2.50? should i try ? will feeding centipede gives more shine?

Ok, I will get Market Prawn from Pasar this weekend ...peel off the skins and cut into small pieces.

haha..totally agree with u..i went to XL a few time, all their red sucks..
Especially super red..but what i believe is a, their good piece are all sent to other lfs..
Since they famous edi....i guess u guys understand the thing going at the farm..
Like today, i trade in my grade 2 red..then the lfs told me that XL farm worker sent him some mms,
showing him some chilli/blood red pic which is nice..so i strongly believe nice pieces are usually shipped to outside..and not sold in XL itself..if u are finding for red, try kin fatt, kepong
they shipped their fishes themselves..red they ship from indon and are way cheaper than XL..chilli red 1.9k..hehe..good quality samo..

depending on the size lo..and make sure u have damn big space for them..or else i believe ur aro could get whack kao kao..since arapaima will outgrow aro lots lots more

leong: The development of my red at this stage is really slow. Really2 slow. Regarding the tanning light, some said any high intensity light (with high K value) can be used for tanning. There are also special tanning light produced specially for reds.

elmer: Cert stated High Quality Super Red. So, just consider it as Super Red. Blood or Chili Red doesn't matter. This piece is already 3 years with me.

and a, the UV filter u have to know how many watts, and wat brand....and it's a UV filter pump or UV filter where the water go thru it only?
coz i got my UV filter where the water goes thru it, any bacteria that goes thru it will die... cost me RM250, on promotional price..Laguna brand, 3 years warranty...coz usually these kinda go thru UV filter,
will cost like RM300++ better one will cost like RM700 ++
