walao. i just signed P1 last saturday and i am left with only 7GB of the available 20GB that is allocated. their connection speed is satisfactory and is running at high speed on midnight. was thinking to return it coz the data cap thing is really ridiculous. wanted to sign for unlimited but they said unlimited is only available for company. really dam P1. now i am considering taking 2 line to cope with the amount of data i need monthly since my place doesn't have phone line.

even 2 line's 40gb aren't enough for heavy-user...1 line 20gb about 1 week sucked dry dry by heavy downloading...=[


hoping P1 can gv some special privileges to some heavy users to use 1.2mb unlimited usage^^

looks like this isnt the support thread, but the complaints thread for p1. i agree with you all, p1 wimax really sucks! they should invest less in sales and marketing, but more in their internet service and customer service.

my speed is like the post owc - check my speed out at http://twitpic.com/39hdze/full - awful!!

i have been with p1 for 1.5 years. it is only the past 6 months it has been terrible. have had 5 case monitorings, 1 technician come over to my house, and many angry phone calls and twitter messages. i am on the $199 plan - where you get NOTHING in return for it!

today i talked to the 'customer service'. i told him my problems, and had to tell him about 10 times over the phone. he hung up on me cos he couldnt answer my questions. so i messaged p1cares (lol) an irate message. he then called me back and still couldnt answer my questions! no apology either, he just said he'd call me back tomorrow. yeah right. another girl who was handling the twitter a few weeks a go was also supposed to call me back.

just given up with them. spending money on p1 is a total waste. so many complaints, still nothing done. they say that my independent speed test is lying. and according to him, my line is excellent quality - despite the fact i cannot even load facebook, twitter, google, gmail, hotmail, etc most of the time - including while i was on the phone talking to him!

stupid man.

stupid me for spending money on p1! so save your money - go with another ISP. even going on dial up is better than going with p1! it would be faster and more stable!


Added on November 24, 2010, 12:01 amoh i should also mention i wanted to test my internet cos p1 did a reset on their end and the internet did work ok for the rest of the hour that i was up (i got it fixed at about 10pm last night).

this morning i went on at 6am when most of KL and Selangor is still asleep. guess what - cannot even get into a website. so frustrating!

guess i will have to see whether someone calls me tomorrow!

Hi,

This are the different between DV 230 and DX 230:

The DV-230 comes with an external USB WiFi adaptor to enable connection sharing. Hence, an external WiFi router is not needed when using DV-230. In addition, the DV-230 is voice ready. The DX-230 comes with an integrated WiFi that supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standards. The DX-230 also has two LAN ports as well as two voice ports. Overall, DX-230 provides better WiFi performance at your home or office and supports more connectivity choices via the additional LAN and Voice ports.

If you wish to swap your old modem to new modem you can do that by purchasing a new unit at RM399 at the P1 P@ddock or P1TSTOP. The P1 P@ddock or P1TSTOP representative will transfer your service to the new DX-230 accordingly.

Whenever you finish your FUP your speed will be throttle depending on the package that you subscribe not because service quality issue.

hey man,my P1 signal gettin worse n worse since JULY maintainance/upgrading in Klang area...Before the July,i placed my p1 jx beside my laptop wid great strong signal...after July,my signal strength nvr reach strong signal.
now my signal strength is jx 2 collumn above Weak...nvr get strong signal since the July maintainance/upgrading!

always asking bout this problem in P1 website's chat,the person incharge replying me saying is my quota limit has reached,dats y my line is so slow n bad~

isnt upcoming maintainance in klang area is on 26nov 3am?now hvnt 26,my signal strength is nt stable...
im nt expecting my p1 signal getting worse n worse after every maintainance/upgrading~

Don't bother calling me or e-mailing me, just fix the goddamn base stations in my area, I've been getting rubbish signals with disconnections everyday for the past week.

My bittorrent download suddently become very very slow this month. BUT when I test using speed test look ok. I think this is something to do with the operator P1WIMAX limiting my download? My download max at 10KBps normally it goes up to more than 150KBps. My quota still alot

IF that is the case than I think it's better to change my subsription to a lower speed because no point if you get lower speed for download. Most people go for higher speed to get faster download speed not for normal browsing.

Why the data quota for 4G Casual WIGGY is only 6GB when WIGGY 59 is 8 GB? From what I see, the download speed is the same, the modem is the same. I should have change my plan earlier. Haiz...
