Question: why should I pay an extra RM5/month, for the next 20 months, when there is no guarantee that I will get the full speeds?

TM can't even provide me with the full 512kbps that I am subscribed to: how is one to think that upgrading to 1Mbits is any better?

Some people are not as "malang" as you.......that's whylah they upgrade.....

I get stable 1mbps thats why i consider for the upgrade

2mbps and 4mbps must go tmpoint.

I been going to tmpoint for more than 5 times already in a week. In tmpoint the guy ask me go 100 for update. I go 100 they said no record in system ask me go tmpoint.

I went to tmpoint today,
they said my area don't support 4MB line, duno they got bluff me or not...

any other method to apply 4MB?

yes switch to p1 or maxis or digi broadband.

don't think those are reliable in penang lol...
many friend regret change to those broadband...

i just got back from TMpoint for upgrade from 1mb to 2mb.
the guy said my combo account(wired modem) only can upgrade to 2mb combo(wired modem).means no new modem for me..
then,i ask him my riger DB102 modem can support 2mb and 4mb ah?
he also dunno..

riger DB102 modem can support more than 1mb izzit?

btw,my application is done,in couple of days their technician will come and check the lines.

Seriously speaking I think a VPN upgrade will give a better results for P2P, and international sites surfing don't you guys think so?

My connection is now 2mbps on a 1mbps account and although i can get 1.6-1.7mbps using TMNET speedometer but downloading rarely gets above 800kbps unless it's from microsoft etc. I still can't stream youtube real time.

I think a more stable 1mbps is more important than unstable 4mbps.

I just going to print the promotion poster from website..and directly go to TM office.

Initially I wanted to upgrade my package, but after a few days I found out that streamyx is throttling my Rapidshare and Youtube.

BOOO!!! I will never upgrade and be tied for 24 months, I'll keep the slim hope that maybe within this period some other better ISP will come. (A very slim hope.)

bluff u for wut...easy to knw whether ur area or ur hse support..how far away u stay from a telekom buildin..im not talkin bout tmpoint..i meant the white telekom building...oni ppl stay near there can haf 2M or 4Mbps service...stay far = loss = lower speed than 4Mbps = ur f***ing stupid ass complaints ...

so solution is when u wan buy hse buy a hse nearby telekom building ...da cable come out from there straight enter ur hse . near = low loss = speed equal to wut u f***ing subscribe ...

just upgraded from 512kbps to 1 mbps..after 1 day use can see the different

512kbps - everything was perfect (streaming utube,download good,ping) except the speed (of course only 512)
download can maintain above 55kb/s

1 mbps - Surfing faster abit but download no fully above 100kb/s (test using speed 2 time show 1.5mbps)

am i happy?

nope..i just go fill up simple form..they just ask me my home phone that connect to streamyx..then they give me receipt..

wtf, why i cannot upgrade?
