instead of that, the paint peeled off..

Hi guy, yday went surveyed the 3M tint price for my NHC. 3M Crystaline 70 - RM1800 whole car. Tis price ok? I worried about the widescreen coz the boss said cannot pass thru smart tag toll and he said i can change the widescreen tint to other tint (USA product- IRR-70% and VLT is 70%) and he said price will be RM1600.

P/S: Tis 3M shop only sell 3M Crystaline 70 only and others are USA and Korea tint.

eh? 3m doesnt support smart tag? i thought only vkool has this prob

On the other hand, I've had the NHC since 8th Jan 2010 and so far....no problems I find it better than the Vios in many ways except for the FC haha. Oh well...hope it doesn't give me any potential headache problems.

Anyone know where to get sidesteps? the price on the website is a bit ex. Not sure if this has been mentioned in earlier posts..

i got my NHC on 14th jan, installed locktech and ecotint seamist 60 which is reflective green tint, look damn cool on my silver NHC. so far i quite happy with the car . just that i found the gear shifting not smooth plus got gear hunting when on slightly up slope road and climbing hills. i think pedal shift can eliminate this prob.

yup,3M Crystallines is really good. no complaint. just alittle bit ex.
the film really cant pass tru smart tag. for me. i cut the 8 inches from the top of windscreen then stick a normal 8 inch darker film. look ok wat.
althought abit wasted.

anyone know anyshop got ready stock of mugen doorvisor which is good quality one ? i was ask one shop cost rm140, they have new batch is comewith clip + double sidetape one.
anyone see it? i worry its look rough if clip is obvious

I'm getting my NHC end of this month ... so I got a question on tint

My SA suggested the following setup:

Front + Rear = Llumar Gold, Side = Llumar Diamond (security)

Any comment? Most importantly... are they JPJ compliance?

Congrats alvintcn, how much for tis tint? I heard Llumar tint also not bad.

It is JPJ approved and with 10 years warranty, unfortunately doing with SA they will kill u with blood, better check outside the price. Full diamond should be rm1900, u mixed with cheaper paper for front and back not nice 1, the color may differ. Front and back installed the same diamond but with 2mil enough, then all look same color, pretty nice. Unfortunately im not a rich guy like u can have diamond...

First of all, congratulations and welcome to NHC family, sure u will enjoy your ride very much.

Second, actually, I am Llumar user myself, so far, I am very happy with the results, but, of course Llumar tints is more towards expensive type of tints lar

From your post, I could not comment much, cause actually there is few catergories of Llumar brand tints, and all name with number, which mean the thickness of the tints (for security purposes) and also the thicker, the more expensive lar.

In term of JPJ compliant also, Llumar got JPJ compliant and non JPJ compliant too.

So, I suggest you try to ask for more details about your tint setup, then, only we discuss and share knowledge further lar...

Last but not least, try to call up Llumar authorised distributor yourself, to check the price yourself (just in case your SA slaughter u with higher price) and to ensure the place u tints is authorised Llumar distibutors (u dont want got problem when claim warranty rite?)

As I just back from Llumar authorised distributor last week, actually, Crystal 6 for NHC should be RM1900 (of course, this is their list price lar, depends how u negotiate, you might get cheaper), which mean it cover your 4 windows with 6mil security tints and front and back with non security tints (for safety purposes, cause security tint is too thick, you will see double image and also make accident rescue harder, this what the boss told me lar, how true, I dont know lar)

And this what I was told by the boss there, actually, the Crystal 6 is newly launch in market, previously known as Cyrstal 5. Difference between the two, they upgraded the thickness of the tints from 5mm to 6mm (so call more secure lah, harder to break your glass lar) and better heat rejection which equivalent to Diamond 6 quality (their most popular products, second most secured products, the most secured one is name Palladium, which can even withstand bullets and hand grenade , which according to the boss, even for our NHC, it will cause us RM4700). Diamond 6 tints will cause you RM2*** (sorry, I cannot remember exactly the price, and also this is list price, also depends how good your negotiation skill lar to bring it lower)

The reason why Crystal 6 is cheaper than Diamond 6 is that since it newly introduced, they try to promote it lar by giving special price, so, not sure if the demand good, they increase price or not .

And, u may ask, what is the difference in term of Diamond 6 and Crystal 6. Crystal 6, it will give u mirror like when u park under hot sun, therefore, unlike Diamond 6 which is very clear, u can see inside one. And, of course, both are JPJ compliant. Whether SmartTag can go thru or not, I dunno lar, cause myself I dont use SmartTag

Last but not list, all above is explain to me by the boss there, so, please do not flame me or held me accountable if there is any incorrect info, but, please do correct me if any of the info above is incorrect so I will not continously give wrong info to others

I'm basically user of Llumar as well, I'm using Crystal 6 and also Diamond 6, no issue for this two and your price is super pricy, seriously, i got is much much cheaper than what you can get from the only one authorized dealer in malaysia(Unless you do in singapore).

Yes, it will be like mirror effect IF you windscreen is in GREEN COLOR, please study the spec before the comments. The reason is the reflection under green color is higher, so if your windscreen is in that color, it will be like a mirror and that look very nice for lighthen color. If you choose those darken color, suggest to have diamond 6 since diamond 6 with dark green. But unfortunately even it is fully JPJ compliant on the "paper", if you mirror is already UV protected, it will show more darkness to your car and then JPJ still will ask you to go for inspection if it is really needed because the front mirror cannot be over 55% darkness.

For smart tag is definitely can be passed through, because im currently using on it.

Not going to "flaming you", but if you are going to have better understanding, don't trust about those sales man, research yourself.
