icon_question.gif Wat is the lowest interest loan rate for City now? My loan juz approved with 7 years - 3.1% @ Maybank but I haven's sign it yet.
Y'day, my fren (buying City too) juz told me she get 2.85% - 7 years from Maybank.  wink.gif Should I call Maybank and ask? If really got such offer, is it I need to re-apply my loan or juz ask thm to change the rate?  notworthy.gif
*
I would suggest to ask ur fren to give u the contact details of the bank officer, u contact the bank officer directly. BTW, how do u apply ur loan, via SA or u apply urself? As far as I know, the interest is fixed across the board, the bank officer just cannot just offer u different rate due to different credit risk (unlike house loan)

If really got such offer, u ask them to change the rate ler, if they dont allowed, dont take from them, go ask ur fren the bank officer contact. But, the bad thing is they might further delay ur car delivery, coz u change loan.

Hi wtfoo1, u get ur car edi? My loan was applied by my SA and I got the Maybank officer hp number. So, I will call her and ask. see how thn.. biggrin.gif

Thanks!

Yeap, just got it last week, Tue to be exact. rclxms.gif Enjoying every bit of it, all can summarise in one word, superb, so far, no issues, only minor teething problems, bring back to SC to rectify. Partially my fault too, didnt check the car properly when take delivery (coz rushing for time, and the SA shakehead.gif not reconmended, just explain standard stuff, not helpful, only $$$ minded, unless u r really seasoned car buyer, only interested with discount, definitely no for first time car buyer like me)

Noted, I will check all the things of the car whn I collect my NHC next month.  biggrin.gif  and
drool.gif  Congrats to ur new ride.  rclxms.gif I am happy tat u satisfied v ur NHC.
Urs is PMM color rite?
*
Yes. In addition to the standard Honda checklist provided by SA for u to sign off when u accept delivery of ur car, pls check for interior fittings, those "plastic thingy" in the car, see got anything loose or not (these is not included in the checklist). My case, the aircon vent on the passenger side dashboard come off. So, got to bring back to SC to get it fixed, even though FOC, but, time wasted. doh.gif

Hope u get ur car soon and enjoy the ride (I think u will, coz I believe u already done extensive research before u decide rite). Oso, u will realised, when u driving, others drivers will become more courteous to u, maybe c u new, nice car, but oso, some idiot will purposely bully u too.

That's why I can proudly flex.gif said I am extremely satisfied with my new NHC, just only minor minor issues, of which I believe $$$ can solve (but unfortunately, I dont have at the moment cry.gif , but, a good motivation for me to save, and dont simply spend money nowadays)

Elru....u r not alone...that's why nowadays....I a bit paranoid go shopping mall, scared some ppl open their door rough rough, go hit my car....area like midvalley, 1U, big no no, shopping complex bit quiet oso no no, scared security no good, ppl steal, doh.gif but, on positive side, stay at hope, save money...... brows.gif then, go fixed those minor minor problem....

Hi Elru, have you booked NHC?Been seeing you around here for so long....

Maybe this thing has been posted earlier but for those who don't know, check out J.D Power Initial
Quality Study report and it says NHC has the least reported problems(76/100cars) in its segment and the second best was Vios but at a distance with 107problem/100cars. So for those out there who still contemplating between NHC or Vios.....do I have to say more..
*
W.Rook...may I know where can I read the report online, if any? Coz bit curious which country NHC that they used, coz although I agreed that NHC overall a good car, but, somehow, due to our NHC is CKD, the assembling part sometime I found bit screwed up ler.

hey W.ROOK, sad to say not yet, as my current ride is still in operational condition...sigh.... im using my supposedly dp to generate some extra money so no need to commit too long for it when i buy. nevertheless, NHC is still my favorite car among 1.5 class.
*
Bro elru...u got a point there, current ride still operational, and dp to generate extra income so can reduce commitment....but, poison poison.....u going to miss lots of fun driving in new NHC......kehkehkeh drool.gif

Anyway, hope u can join us soon, and oso use this time to do more research on NHC lor...so u wont regret later...and who knows, maybe got better car coming out leh....

tint, pedal lock, visor, floor mat ... and bodykit brows.gif
*
Thanks....
tints - done
pedal lock - still considering/ researching..... hmm.gif cause will it make driving uncomfortable, blocking leg movement. Currently using steering lock.
visor - done
floor mat - done
bodykit - hmm.gif so far not on my list, maybe I am not those mod kaki....or perhaps maybe I yet to find something really make me drool.gif I more prefer subtle mod, u know sometime not so noticeable and practical, rather than "wow" factor, coz sometime when I c those heavily mod car (P1 and P2 especially), until as if can fly, but, when saw them at highway, sound only loud, but, speed like those 10 ton lorry. Malu only.

My next list under consideration/ "research"
-Strut bar, Anti Roll Bar, Front Lower Bar - to make the car more stable - issue pending $$$
-Dynamat - to make car audio sound more solid, especially on the door speaker, further reduce outside noise, and not so important issue, but good for bragging....when close the door, a solid sound of "thud" rather than the P1 park beside, close door "thung" whistling.gif This one, need further research.....not only on $$$ issues, but also, worry they open up the car compartment/ carpet.

i dont know is it only myself feeling here or others NHC owner have same feeling with me... the more i look at my car.. the more i loving it d. .. already drive for almost 1 year.. still loving it... enjoy everything when driving it. hehe!

Added on December 15, 2009, 5:22 pm

bro... bars is good to have d. u will feel different when u have install it. dont know how to explain that feeling. but u sure will feel the different.

Dynamat... this was in my list too.. still out of $$$... hehe!
*
Thanks for advice notworthy.gif In fact, I had been fatally poisoned in HC3Msia on the bar, only $$$ block me from laying my hand (err...car) on the bar. Hope it wont be too long to fulfill my wish....heheheh....

One thing that I still havent used to NHC is that there is no auto-lock function. Always forgot to manually lock the car when driving. Sometimes, worry stop at traffic light, crocks might just open ur door and jump in. I know that it can be easily fixed at those auto accessories shop, but, all I survey is those u press brake, it lock, I more interested on those after certain speed (say 20km/h) they lock type. Anyone got any idea where can I can it done? TQ TQ for ur help.

Another thing on my wish list (to change) is to make when lock and unlock car got "teet teet" sound, instead of lights blinking, coz sometimes, forgot to see the lights, then, need to go back to carpark to check. doh.gif This one I will check out whether can be done at SC or not (to avoid void warranty), else I got to bear wif it.

yes.. dynamt is for sound proofing.

Vios and City... not sure d... this u have drive vios for 1 month and city for 1 month only can compare this.

u r so welcome.. haha! more poison sure u will kena.. haha

bro.. i not sure do your branch there have any official merchant for install accesories? cause my branch here have merchant which link with them.. so anything electronic installation... i go to merchant to install and my warantty will not void d. so maybe u can ask your SA where u can install those auto-lock and "teet teet" sound. hehe!

for me, already use to it.. when start engine, sure will lock the door. only unlock the door when engine stop and wanna go out. hehe

Added on December 16, 2009, 12:14 pm

haha.. bro.. u poison me until here ah... Lol!

cant d.. need keep some $$ for now.. January is coming.. GF birthday + Insurances + New year stuff need to buy lah.. hehe

"Official merhant".....errr....I doubt so ler, ask SA.... shakehead.gif gone case, she is the type hopeless blur, but try to con one, not to brag, but I think I know about NHC than her (thanks to many sifus at HC3Msia). Maybe I will ask SC during my 1k service. Since 1k service no things changed, just check check only, do alignment, balancing, guess I will go back to where I get my car, but, famously terrible for service quality, so, I will ask the technician there. But, for 5k service, try not to go there, any good reconmendation SC in Klang Valley?

the buzzer can find at accessories shop, much cheaper thn honda price oso.unless u fancy the specific honda sound, the "beep beep".but i think tht can find outside oso

what i always remind myself wheter my car is locked anot is check the blink,3 blinks lock,1 blink unlock
this size tyre is hard to find outside, only available at honda sc,but they wil sure slaughter ur wallet gao gao

y not chg to size 195 tires?
*
Thanks for info...my worry more on warranty issues, these electronic stuff, sometimes very hard to pinpoint if anything wrong, they found out i do it outside, they just conveniently blame it, void my warranty cry.gif while if anything went wrong if fixed by SC, I just need to blast them kau kau....

Yeap...hope soon I get used not the hear the "teet teet" sound when lock the car, u guys got a good points there too. But, I guess I too used to whenever after I park my car, I just walk off while pressing the alarm, without looking at the car (always imagine as if like I those hero in the movie finale, press the remote button, the car go explode, with the bad guys inside..... cool2.gif )

BTW, put on buzzer, got tampered with Honda wiring or not? Dont feel comfortable outside tampered with the wiring leh...then, HM simply void warranty cry.gif

1)Which car Insurance is suitable for honda city ?
2)I'm heard the MSIG is the best for honda car , isn't ?
3)How about Tokyo Marine or other company ?
4)How about the claim , is good ( Them said MISG can claim till 95% if the car stole )?

THX FOR HELP !!
*
All insurance is the same, the diff only how fast u received claim, which other than Kurnia and UniAsia, others claim is reasonable.

Pertaining to claim amount, it all depends on ur sum insured and car value, so, if u only insured 90% car value, dont expect to can claim until 95% of your car cost.

Thanks u !
So we have to follow our market car value to buy the insurance right ?
if we buy the car is 80k,after 3 years no need buy the 80k again right , because the market value is drop, but why still have many insurance company called we maintance at 80k ?
thanks your info @wtfoo1
*
Answer Q1 - Yes
Answer Q2 - these insurance agent try to get bigger commission, bigger premium, coz the higher ur sum insured, the higher ur insurance premium/ cost. But, touch wood, in case u suffer total lost/ write-off of ur car, u will not get the full amount ur sum insured if ur sum insured is more than market value. For example, after 3 years, ur car market value become 70k, but, u insist insured 80k, so, if ur car write-off, u can only get max 70k, not 80k, even though u had already pay 80k worth of insurance premium.

My current insurance company is MSIG,like to try Tokyo-marine, your opinion is all is same right !

We direct to the insurance company ,can get more cheaper ?

@wtfoo1 thanks u again ...
Have a nice day !

No worry, together we share info and knowledge....

Currently, all insurance co is govern by Bank Negara and PIAM (Persatuan Insuran Am Malaysia) with strict guidelines, so, no matters which insurance co u go, or whether u go direct to insurance co, u still need to pay the same premium for the same sum insured (I mean legally lar, coz I know some insurance agent desperate for business even willing to forfeit their commission, but, if they get caught, end of their insurance agent licence)

But, few months ago, there is news that Bank Negara looking into possibilities providing discount to those ppl buying insurance directly from insurance co, bypass agent, but, after big huhhah, the matters quieten down oledi. Maybe u can check with insurance co c this had materialised and update us all here? thumbup.gif
