hmm.gif Juz wan to ask, our NHC first insurance from Honda is under wat company? Kurnia or honda insurance or? The insurance for E-Spec City is RM2,497.50. If we buy ourself, will it be cheaper than we buy from Honda? tongue.gif

It will be under the Insurance Company which has been assigned to the Honda dealer (it could be from Tokio Marine, MSIG, Berjaya Sompo, etc). Ur insurance premium calculation will be based on the sum insured of rm87k which has been set. If u purchased urself, it will be the same amount. U can pay at a lower premium if u have ur NCD from ur previous vehicle.

Just to further add, the insurance quoted is not including windscreen. So, depending how much you want to insure ur windscreen, be prepared to fork additional $$$ cry.gif if u want to insure windscreen too.

In addition, u can add in 1 driver in the insurance policy, FOC. Any additional driver, u need to pay (sorry, cannot remember how much). This, say, touchwood, someone drive ur car (non onwer) and accident, if his/ her name not in the insurance, u cannot claim insurance, coz he/ she is not authorised driver.

After 4 months, I just started driving "S mode" fully (using the paddle on the E-series) the past few days and I must say that the feeling is much nicer in terms for throttle response. Just that there is a bit of "lag" when changing gear (a well-known "disadvantage") and the difficulty of changing gears on tight cornering.

One nice feature is that the gear will automatically go to 1st gear if you totally stop or 3rd gear if you slow down a lot, making less of a hassle to down-shift when you're at 5th gear and come to a stop.

If you guys haven't tried to drive the "S mode", I recommend you try it. Should save some fuel too. smile.gif (but I'm sure some of you are already driving using the "S mode")

just kidding...

what they claim is 180km/h... but some people can reach 200km/h if not mistaken... so far i reach 160km/h only in a short distance test...

sifu-sifu,

they said that vTEC engine are for hard revving. Is it true? What's the logic behind it? (ignoring the fuel consumption issue of course). As long as we dont rev till the redline, it's fine right? cause vTEC are suitable for hard revving.

Advance thanks for clarifying.

Only had break lock, meant step on break pad then it will auto lock the car by the relay chip and wiring. Honda official price is RM300-RM350, i do outside, RM100, the cheapest is RM90 so far i heard, but far for me the place, somewhere near serdang.

Hi, my bro getting his city E-spec this week, just want to ask for him any tips on what/how to check when receive the car especially common issue/problem that the community know, and wat comes with the car i.e car jack; manuals, 1st aid kit, hope they dont miss out anything.
Another thing, what freebies should try to ask from the dealer? My brother didnt get any discount or freebies when he book it.
Final question: what essentials should be installed later on , coz he bought it stock with nothing extra, no tint, etc. Really appreciate your feedback, guys. Thanks
