i hav a unit 3GS 3.1.2 firmware and modem firmware:05.11.07

using blackr1an to JB, after jb download cydia then restart phone.
after this phone cannot turn on anymore. showing the screen connect to itune.

so... i restore again then JB 1 more time,still the same problem....

my question is the current blackr1an not support latest modem firmware? any suggestion ?

For those with the new iPod touch, BlackRa1n only supports a tethered jailbreak. This means that once jailbroken you should not let your battery die. If it does die you will need to reconnect it to the computer and use BlackRa1n to boot it.

just use blackra1n to boot your phone when you see the screen connect to itunes

ooic... how about restart the phone, does is show the connect to the itune screen again???

second if the phone batt really die, then connect the phone and open up blackr1an?
does the phone need to JB again??? all my app,data still remain in the phone?

yes you will need to re-jb EVERYTIME YOUR IPHONE loses power.

Your data and apps will intact.

so moral of the story is, never let your batt die or accidentally reboot your phone without your notebook/pc with you?

ohh no... this bad news.hope some one can come out with a better solution.

yeah, it's true, it's the ego hot. at least there's sum explanations like why ifunbox or iphonebrowser doesn't work, and issues among followers. if he can't answer that coz too busy with his ps3 at least other follower will do and he noticed tho.

now i cannot use itune restore bk to 3.0..
as i know must unlock the phone just can detect by itune right?

if by non maxis u mean locked set, then no..u hv to jb to unlock the phone to use da call/msg/tethering function...

hey guys,

is blackra1n available for untethered JB? because i read from here and from blackra1n site that it's tethered. i tried on my 3GS and it's tethered JB as well. each time i reboot i need to use blackra1n to boot it.

but then, my friend who is running on 3GS and he said he doesn't have such problem with the tethered JB. he said he is using blackra1n as well. dont know if he is bullshitting me or not.

hi guys, can u guys shed some light here, im having a 50 - 50% decision whether to jailbreak my iphone 3gs or not, it is an maxis unlocked version and frm replies and views frm few sources, they said it is not safe to jailbreak a factory unlocked iphone? my iphone is v3.1.2 ..
