"Don't fix if it's ain't broken"

I often heard the saying but now it's actually happened to me

I'm using a 16gb 3G, Singapore set so it is unofficially unlocked. I'm running 3.1.2, jb'ed using blackrain. No problem so far until i accidentally installed "push fix" from cydia.

Now, push won't work anymore even though i've uninstall the fix. Tried to work around it but to no avail.

Silly me, do you guys think I have to restore my phone?

do i still need to run itunes , in order to use blackra1n???
it's due to my itunes always crash make me tired to run it.

If all else fail, restore the phone. But the ensuing task is tedious.....

success for the raining parts ( i think)
but after i installed either Cydia or Rock. the icon didnt appear on my SB, the installation of both application seems fine.
Downloading and unpacking then re-spring... but nothing happen...even after reboot the iphone.

why i cant restore my iphone 3gs US set 3.01... its show ''the iphone could not be restore. This device isnt eligible for the request build''

the 3.0 and 3.0.1 IPSW's are no longer signed by Apple for the 3GS. therefore, you cannot select them in iTunes. which means you can't restore to anything lower than 3.1.

unless you have previously backed up your ECID SHSH through Cydia (if your 3GS is previously jailbroken).

just wan to ask if i update my firmware to 3.1.2 will it erase my record?? i mean those music msg?

if u press update ur stuff still there. if u press restore ur data all shit will be erase. unless u got back up.

and also ur music msg is original then should be still there.

was helping a fren n yes i did..thr was...u can try re running blackra1n...it helped me...

everytime u update to a new fw, it wud restore ur phone...
but da good news is tat itunes wud back it up n gv u back in da same state as it was b4 da update..

Yes if u use Black Rain u will face that. but not all iphone will face. like mayb 10 out of 2?

if u face this, just very simple to fixed. go to setting > general >reset > reset network settings.

this may not be the right thread but need your guidance...
i have download .app file. I dont know how to install it to Iphone. Try use Winscp, but its keep on disconnected thru wifi..
Someone told me, just drag the .app file to Itunes.. but it also cannot. I open my browser at itunes > Iphone > Application. Once drag nothing happen also..pls advise..

Hmm i dont know about you guys but i would like to ask. Has anyone noticed that Maxis has extremely bad 3g service?. For example today, no one could call me in, but i could call out when i was on 3g. Then my friend said that he could not get my phone at all, and in front of me he called and it did not ring. So what i did was i opened up sbsettings and turned off 3g to Edge. Now it works perfectly and calls come in. But has anyone noticed anything like this? I dont know if its because of jailbreaking and it happends only once in a while.

for me i am hving frequent data drop...like da cellular data wud go off for no reason n be back on its own...
im starting 2 tink maxis is behind all tis...upgrading service maybe, just maybe...

If I'm not mistaken, all Singtel set are officially unlocked. So all you need to do is just JB. Using blackrain will do.

Oh.. I'm using Singtel set by the way.

He's right. Singtel set dun hv to worry abt all tat. Just update n Jb.
