Do you know about the new bootrom?

iclarified 13 oct "Apple is now shipping the iPhone 3GS with a new Bootrom that is not vulnerable to the 24kpwn exploit.

The iBoot-359.3.2 started to ship last week. A screenshot posted by Mathieulh shows the new version number.

MuscleNerd from the iPhone Dev-Team has confirmed that the loss of the 24kpwn exploit would mean a normal jailbreak would be impossible for the time being.

oh oh, from what @cpich3g + @Mathieulh have found so far, a normal untethered JB may be in jeopardy in brand new 3GS units

For the time being we would suggest locating old stock or refurbished units. Hopefully, the dev teams will be able to find another exploit for the new bootrom."

what happen if u rerun blackrain after u get the restore mode? can show the serial number so that we can see the manufacturing week?

Old News and its not rocket science to figure it out since you're doing "iPhone jailbreaking service"

Its simple

1. Run Blackra1n rc3
2. You'll see picture of geohot
3. iPhone will go into restore mode (you'll see iTunes restore logo)
4. Quit iTunes and re-run blackr1an , hit let it rain
5. Wait
6. It will boot

Its called tethered boot. The disadvantage of is it that you'll have to run blackra1n whenever the iPhone restarts or runs out of juice !

wanna ask, im jailbreaking my iphone 3gs 32gb, 3.0.1, now using BlackRa1n, but now there showing done, waiting reboot. how long have to wait? been waiting for 30minutes. @_@

guys, any of u who runs "Erase All Content and Settings" on the "Reset" give prob??? after 2 hours it still does not show springboard...anybody got idea bout it?? how long did u guys took to run tis reset???

My case: my brother accidentally upgrading my current firmware to the latestest firmware..
and becoz my iphone being jailbroken previovsly, and results to the my iphone can't recognize my sim card..
and there is a image shown there plug sync to the itunes. Nothing happen once i sync to the itunes and itunes can't recognize my device.. =.="
i try to jailbreak again.. Finally comes to the last step and everthing working well as guide as shown on the website..
But after that.. the iphone is stil having the same situation.. can't recognize the sim card..

One weird thing is that.. it is normal i can't calling someone.. but instead of that i can retrieve call.. ZZzz
