Guys I have a quick question, If I would like to restore my Iphone to Factory settings using Itunes, Would i need to change back to my original Maxis Logo or could i just restore it back without doing so. The reason why I am asking this is cause my phone is Infected with the Rick Astley virus. Was thinking of restoring it with Itunes and rejailbreaking it tonight. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah my cousin just told me about it yesterday and I did post up yesterday that I was affected by the IKEE (rick rolled) virus. A full restore did the trick (was aching to do a restore as well ). But this new virus, I wish iohones have an Antivirus. I was working In f-secure before and they said they are working on an Iphone antivirus software. Hopefully soon

Hmm i dont know about you guys but i would like to ask. Has anyone noticed that Maxis has extremely bad 3g service?. For example today, no one could call me in, but i could call out when i was on 3g. Then my friend said that he could not get my phone at all, and in front of me he called and it did not ring. So what i did was i opened up sbsettings and turned off 3g to Edge. Now it works perfectly and calls come in. But has anyone noticed anything like this? I dont know if its because of jailbreaking and it happends only once in a while.

Any major difference with 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 in terms of batt life or anything of the sorts? And secondly for others out there th 3gs can be jailbroken to 3.1.3 but you only must have the OLD BOOTROM. IT does not work for the NEW BOOTROM or Out of the BOX 3.1.3

Secondly you already must be jailbroken on 3.1.2.

I am just retyping all this again cause i can 100 % say that someone would ask the same question again. I have not jailbroken my 3gs to 3.1.3 cause i am currently playing plantz vs zombies.. to addicted and dont want to start it all over again

Ahh ic ic, then bro, i will just use my 3.1.2 and leave it lah. I mean why does apple release small tiny updates when they could do it one shot in 3.2 or the much rumored 4.0... I wonder what those versions will have that is different...

I can remember when 3.1 came out, people said it was not a huge version like 3.0 was like..but i was going mad waiting for the jailbreak , now 3.1.3 is like.. meh

I really can't wait for GreenP0ison to release their jailbreak that will work on new 3gs (new bootrom), I really hope its not a rumor

I think we should just wait.. i trust Geohotz methods of jailbreaking more then anyone else.. its too simple.. anyway i need to send my 3gs old bootrom for warranty as the home button is not as sensitive as before. I am sure they will replace my old 3gs (old bootrom) with a new 3gs running 3.1.3. No choice.. i have to do it now

Another thing is, if i for example would like to restore, would I have to firstly change my root password back to ALPINE first and then restore.. sorry, havent really experimented with this..and I need to know as I am sending my phone back to Maxis for warranty..

above is definately true, Geohotz already said he can jailbreak 3.1.3...with the new bootrom, i bet you he is just waiting, and like last time whne 3.1.2 was released.. we will have to wait a month and bang.. we will have a jailbreak for 4.0

Yeah, it should be for OS4 only.. well i think its about time that i give in my Iphone 3gs for warranty
