I would prefer Silva over Villa at the moment. Silva could fit in the left wing or be a supporting striker. And he's a little cheaper then Villa amiright?
LOL guys , i read the star newspaper today , and for everything in the soccer net . Why's the press so against us?
Ngog dived yes, and they posted everywhere , branding us a cheater. Why is there no such report for the current Fifa player (diver ) of the year whenever he dived? HMMMM
for the 6+5, let's bring the english talent to Anfield now...
Carlton Cole (west ham) - equally talented to Heskey, he's maturing under Zola...
Jermaine Jenas (spurs) - why don't we use him instead of Lucas?
James Milner OR Ashley Young (aston villa) - i think both is a good prospect for english football. and why not?
Anton Ferdinand (sunderland) - a shadow for his brother. will be a good successor for Carra.
Carlton - realistic target Jenas - possible but don't think he'll come Milner/Young - Out of our league since both will cost 20mil above Anton - better promote our youngster.

with what money? all of them with the exception of ferdinand will probably cost close to 20m each. ferdinand has also been dropped by steve bruce and looks likely to be off-loaded in the jan window for 8m.
David Villa? I thought i've read rumours linking him with MU few days b4.
"Chelsea will make a £33m bid for Valencia striker David Villa - but the Spain international would prefer a move to Manchester United"
Believe me, he prefers a move here rather than there. With the spanish connection here, who wouldnt prefer here? Its just that we have that "slight" problem of getting the finances to secure his move and Silva's. Anyway, even if you bring messi, villa, any star player here, without team communication, we wont go anywhere.

heskey, crouch, silva, villa...bah. what we need is a good central defender.
Ahh.. brings back the debate early last month. Pretty opinion-related if you ask me. I would prefer a striker.
And maybe just maybe Keane should have stayed longer than 6 months. Watching the season review again makes me wonder if we had gave him enough time to gel to our style of play.

Ask Eduardo if Ngog didn't jump high enough

Was Carsley going for the ball or Ngog's leg? Mind you Brummies have a reputation to break legs.

Sometimes I'm utterly despair of my fellow Lowyites. Ngog is going to be a great player. How he is being groomed by Rafa will affect his future. He would have being hailed as MoTM but then the jingoistic ethnocentric media preferred to pan and scapegoat him for Liverpool's performance. Why can't we understand s'times a superior team cannot win against team like Birmingham. Teams that are moulded by the likes of Scottish managers (ala Celtic/Rangers)- not necessarily talented but full of grit and gunghos. So are we surprised that Lee Carsley (remember Martin Taylor) is a reflection of Birmingham's team.
Carsley has a bad reputation and had priors with reckless challenges and being red-carded numerous times (at international level too). To cite Drogba, Iwelumo
To me he is a gun for hire. Ask yourself who knows the carded players better. A good referee is also there to protect players irrespective of colour or origin. Thats what a good referee and a good manager (ask CR7 who is his daddy) should .

Everyone seems to be channeling the focus on the dive.
Worries not.2 Interesting articles to share.Found these good read in Well Red LFC Blog. BLOGGERS BLAST GRAHAM POLL AND MEDIA OVER NGOG TREATMENT.

"King Con" screamed one tabloid, "Cheat" boomed another.
You'd think no-one has ever dived in a football match before.
Only they have, haven't they? There's Didier Drogba for starters, a man mountain who has made tumbling over at the slightest touch an art form. Then there's Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Eduardo, and, dare I say it, Steven Gerrard.
Ngog though, has dived once. Once.
So to be tearing into the 20-year-old like he'd used the steps of Soho Square as a toilet is a tad extreme.
Newspaper columnist and former referee, Graham Poll made a catchy headline for his column in Daily Mail - Diving David NGog should hang his head in shame.Throughout his article,Poll slams David N'Gog alongside with referee Peter Walton. While he has the leisure time to put on unnecessary captions for the photos of the very same article, he chose to ignore the bad tackle made by Lee Carsley. Not even a word was mentioned about the tackle.Brilliant.

Not only Mr Poll but journalists around the world want to gun down N'Gog with their pens. The media bias-ness is as disgraceful as the dive N'Gog made.
Well thats because CR9 dived on every fortnight. Ngog, however, just discovered the ability "diving". Not to worry, the more he dives, the more the press will get tired of it like cr9.

theres a difference between opinion and facts...so basically doesnt detract from the fact that our defense is pathetic right now. so buying more strikers will obviously not solve our defensive woes.

Well, the fact of the matter is, (no offense) but our whole team is pathetic right now. So we shouldnt blame the defense solely for opening gaps in between spaces. So its more of a opinion that you blame our defence for errors. I dont think we should buy more strikers, we should just buy 1 good one. This too will only happen if Mascherano leaves in January and the yanks let Rafa spend the money.

with 6 + 5 soon to be implemented, getting an english striker wasnt that bad. i would prefer babel or ngog given more 1st team chances. forget bout voronin, he's not gonna make it here
6+5 wont be implemented for at least 2 more yrs. next yr will be 4+7, then 5+6, and then only 6+5 in the 2012-13 season.
its not yet a priority to buy english, and will of cos only affect the ones going to europe.
"Barcelona were, at one time, very interested in Mascherano, but no longer. At one stage I would have said 'yes' that deal could happen, but now I would have to say 'no'.
"I would say that Barcelona do not have the sort of funds to buy either Robinho or Mascherano."
