aiks..
u dun really know what i mean...
monitor refresh rate don't have anything to do with your fps but your gc does...

the very truth is i played l4d and check the fps where my fps is higher than 100++ when my monitor is in 75hertz..
and i run dmc4 benchmark my fps is at around 85..
so do you still think refresh rate can limit your fps?

if you see a line when playing in your monitor..
that's mean monitor refresh rate is not fast enough to generate the graphics as it skip the process to generate the current frame and straight away generate the next frame...

of course higher the better la..price also higher the better ma...
who dun noe..

but back in the topic, just telling him that

1. refresh rate is not related to fps in anyway..
2. 75hertz is still not enough in gaming as in my case, i still see lines when playing games..

it's the settings of your game that matter the fps as some game u can set fps max at certain point..some 60,some lower..but never above 60..
you can try set it to variable fps if the game provides this settings

though here i include links for reference for you when considering buying lcd:
refresh rate wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refresh_rate

frame rate/fps wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frame_rate

screen tearing wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_tearing

vertical sync wiki that can prevent screen tearing:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_sync

and as nowadays manufacturers wouldn't pointed their monitor reponse time more than refresh rate which indirectly related to refresh rate..
this is the article u might get some knowledge:
http://www.tweakguides.com/Graphics_8.html

as previous person said about this, above 19" hardly can find a model with 75hz..
and i only interested in 2 brand which is samsung and dell..
i dun have idea to recommend you as i now focusing on 24" monitor...
if u want u can get my current monitor model = samsung 19" 943nwx which available to set to 75hz...
you can try search their website or go back the first post here to try read some reviews...

hi i have a dillelma here, currently my crt monitor problematic so now i have two choice, AOC 2236Vw LCD and LGW2043S. AOC is rm530 while LG is rm408. AOC have hdmi input while LG do not have, my current rig is old p4 rigs and the graphic card does not have hdmi port. But i also plan for another second rig with better spec. So guys can give some advice? Is hdmi really necessary other than for xbox/ps3? Watching hd movies?

acer h233h
viewsonic vx2433wm
dell st2410..

just wanna use it for gaming, online n watching video.. i wan hdmi for future console use... other than the above, which samsung u guys recommend below rm700.. with or w/o hdmi oso can for samsung model..
thanks..

compare their prices to your budget. compare the output they can bring out from the lcd and your eyes like it or not. the best is to use full hd format to test the lcd. personally think acer h233h is the best bcoz it is using brightscreen and color is damn nice 80k:1 (personally tested). the design is futuristic too. i dun like dell because their design is very dull and old (sorry to dell's fans)

hi every pros here, tomorrow i will get a new LCD for my new pc. I now left 2 choices, Samsung P2450 and P2370. It seems like both of them are having the same specification (Correct me if I'm wrong), the only difference is the inches. But for P2370 is RM760 and P2470 is RM860, it is RM100 difference for 1 inches. Both are having the same resolution as well. So should I go for the 24 inches or should I just get the 23 inches enough? notworthy.gif

^ If i was in your position I would take P2450. I have the same dilemma as u also last month b4 i purchase my new LCD, at the end i still choose AOC 2434pw @ RM690 and save RM 170. Very satisfy with my AOC, no regret so far.

@nightzstar
AOC 2236Vw LCD got HDMI? I thought only 2434pw come with HDMI? Anyway what i heard from the PRO, HDMI = to DVI with audio. I using HDMI now, but did not enable the audio output also. No different from DVI. It is just my LCD dont have DVI port.

Anyone here tried the Samsung F2380? Seems very promising. Its using a PVA not TN panel and would definitely solve my input connection problems as I need dual DVI or DVI + HDMI ^^

http://www.digitalversus.com/article-357-6954-36.html

Price at Garage Sales is RM 960 from one of the sales thread.

Something about the F2380M

QUOTE
If you're worried about the chances of Samsung playing fast and loose with the panels that actually ship with this monitor, there's little risk of that happening here.  As we've seen, the monitor includes a C-PVA panel, a technology that is only made by Samsung.  All that could happen, then, is that Samsung might produce a new version of the panel, in theory improving it by, for example, providing better colour handling with the default settings.

TN panels are never accurate in its color reproductions, as compared to better and more expansive panels like IPS.
My 2333sw+ looks like that too without adjusting the colors.

But you can try this color setting and see:
Red-37 Green-42 Blue-56
