That should be dead pixel..
So sorry to say that..
Dirt is also a possibility.... That goes between the panel and backlight... seen it before.

Actually that can consider not a promotion prices. you will notice it if you visit their page every week in every month. even after today. there will be same thing came out with difference expire date.

Pick 2209WA if size doesn't matter but picture quality.

The example for "real promotion discount" Dell monitor discount with coupon conditions apply.

just went over to dell's webby, prices of ST2210 and 2209WA have risen since yesterday when I placed the order~ ST2410 is still RM679 but no more bundle offer with the V3V RM50 printer~ this should be their pricing tactic for PC Fair to clear stock~

I think I'll have to stick with ST2210 instead of 2209WA~ crap~

Thanks for the correction... i already forgot who made who's.. i think someone mentioned about it earlier in this thread...
Hard to tell the panels (as most LCD monitor manufacturers tend to use different panels for the same model), unless looking at the batch and examine the panel numbers internally. unsure.gif

QUOTE(wira020 @ Apr 28 2010, 06:07 PM)
BenQ monitor any good?.. I've done some research on them when i was choosing a new monitor a few month ago... i forgot what made me decide not to get them...
BenQ mostly use AUO and Chimei panels. Should be fine.. I'm using one anyway (already a few years old). wink.gif

Guys need some help here ... my monitor has encounter something like dust (a dark spot) which is unable to remove ... is that something inside the monitor with dust or something? How can I clean it or I need to send for service? ... My model was BenQ G2220HD and just purchase during the CNY period T^T

Here's the spot:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
If it look square then its a dead pixel.. Anyway, does that "spot" disappear when you change to a different desktop screen resolution (try lowering the screen resolution)? hmm.gif

You can try this method... Take a dried up ball point pen (make sure no more ink, the pen point must not be sharp one), and keep tapping on that "spot". icon_rolleyes.gif

wow, thanks for your help~ the DELL guy says that I can edit since I'm paying by credit card and there is allowance of time since no one have yet to call me for payment confirmation~

2209WA and ST2210, last chance for me to choose is on Mon (probably someone will call me then)~

I read earlier that 2209WA is an older model, how would 2209WA and ST2210 compare for me who only watch movies with the monitor?~

You may want to increase the budget a bit more to around RM750 or more. Try looking at Dell UltraSharp 2209WA which is an IPS panel (not the normal TN panel). brows.gif
