how about getting two 24 inchers instead??

since u using it for excel...u can stretch it all the way to the other screen...useful if u wanna see lotsa columns...but of course u gotta put them side by side so that ur view is nice....(not taking the bezel into account of course)

but a single 27 incher would probably be better if u wanna see more rows...n i dont think theres a more bang for buck 27" than the samsung @ 1.2k

even the asus 26" is more expensive @ 1.4k (but includes webcam)

when u run dual monitor u use extend desktop to the second monitor (under the properties)

u just pull the window longer all the way to the other screen...(dont use maximize) like this...

no prob....just make sure ur graphics card is able to support dual monitors...

if ur using onboard graphics card its recommended to get a dedicated graphics card to run dual monitors....at least something with dual dvi output.

actually u can get any cheapo graphics card...but most cheapo graphics card will be 1 dvi and 1 vga...

can still use...just abit tak syiok la use vga on such a big screen laugh.gif

as for ur onboard graphics...check ur mobo manual or manufacturer's site...newer onboard GCs are able to support dual monitor....but the condition is that no converter used and 1 must be analog output and 1 digital output.

I have read bad reviews about acer led S243HL too. Even though the price is the cheapest for an LED monitor i'm not very convince on the picture quality of the product.

Of all the monitors u listed i can only comments on the viewsonic vx2433wm since i had bought it few days ago.
I bought this monitors because it have 3 connectors, HDMI, DVI and also VGA.
It also have 2ms response time which alot of lcd monitors only have 5ms.

As i have said before, the only thing im not very fond with this monitor is the back-light bleeding issue.
Dont know if other users have this problem also but mine does have this issue.
But when playing game it is a great monitor.  rclxms.gif

Well, i think i will wait for the pikom pcfair 1st on 16th~18th April and looking for the acer h243hx instead of anything else.

If the product isnt available there, i will consider buying the viewsonic vx2433wm.

tTHX FOR YOUR ADVICE.

i got my u2410 today and it seems very nice with the colors, well i quickly hook up with my xbox and ps3. i have few question, like the audio jack behind this monitor....

is it possible that i jack in my speaker to the aux jack behind this monitor and having DVI sources to read the sound? seems like only HDMI can read the sound but i only have 1 hdmi port behind....i need to hook up my xbox360 and ps3 which means need 2 hdmi.....or isit posible to get hdmi spliter?

Only hdmi carries audio and video signal in 1 cable...dvi only carries video...no audio.

Guys need ur opinion, im considering to get new 23' monitor and have this 2 model in mind..

1) Samsung B2330H
- Contrast : 70000:1
- Response Time : 5ms
- RM638

2) Acer H233
- Contrast : 80000:1
- Response Time : 2ms
- Crystal bright screen
- RM665

Maybe on brand samsung win, but the specs to me acer got higher contrast & RT...
