How about Viewsonic VX2433WM.
It have hdmi, dvi and vga. plus response time is 2ms.
bought this monitor for the purpose of ps3, wii and pc.
since it have all 3 connections, can connect all 3 hardwares.

Im using it right now. so far it is a good monitor.
The only thing i dont like is the back-light bleeding.
really noticeable when watching in a dark room.

how's the quality on ps3?
im searching monitor for ps3 only..
around 23" or 24"
with the best hd output...

right now dont have ps3 yet..
but will buy it someday.

guys, which one is better? Dell U2711 or samsung p2770h? both 27" but the price difference quite huge.

of course Dell U2711 is better (much much better) because it uses IPS panel. But since you're using it for watching movie only (not professional photo editing), then Samsung P2770h is good enough for you dy...

Among ViewSonic VX2433wm(23.6'') ,Samsung 2494HS(23.6'') and acer led S243HL(24'') , which 1 should be chosen for gaming and movies??

i heard some bad reviews about 2494hs's screen adjusting problem and also acer s243hl's disadvantages and i dont know anything about viewsonic's product at all.

anyone can give me some hints for buying a 23.6/24" lcd monitor? (budget: below RM800)

(too bad acer h243hx isnt available in malaysia at the moment T.T)

How about Dell ST2410? It has all the ports HDMI, VGA & DVI, but only come with VGA cables, maybe you can find 1 with bundle DVI cable and better price locally, online price is RM679.

any of you connect a LCD TV BOX to your monitor?

Am planning to buy the TV BOX but a bit puzzle on the connection.
My LCD have VGA & DVI ports.
My CPU only have 1 VGA port.

How am I going to connect both ( CPU & TV BOX ) to my LCD monitor?

Tell us your monitor model, depends on the monitor, it might have 1 VGA and 1 DVI, so you can connect your PC to the VGA port and your TV Box to the DVI port.
But according to my friend whom using LG LCD Monitor, it has both DVI and VGA port but you can't change during use (no function to switch), and so you can only use 1 port at any 1 time.

I have read bad reviews about acer led S243HL too. Even though the price is the cheapest for an LED monitor i'm not very convince on the picture quality of the product.

Of all the monitors u listed i can only comments on the viewsonic vx2433wm since i had bought it few days ago.
I bought this monitors because it have 3 connectors, HDMI, DVI and also VGA.
It also have 2ms response time which alot of lcd monitors only have 5ms.

As i have said before, the only thing im not very fond with this monitor is the back-light bleeding issue.
Dont know if other users have this problem also but mine does have this issue.
But when playing game it is a great monitor.

Dell U2711 this one quite good.

The lcd just for work, mainly base on Excel.
