im gonna share a sad story, earlier i bought the samsung b2330h and i wanted to use it so i plugged in everything but it didnt work .. tried dvi/vga all not working so i thought my gfx card already gone then i re-try with my 17" guess what it worked.
so i try to use a laptop, connected via vga when pressing the fn + f5 button my lcd turn white and seconds after white smoke started to come of it.
could it be my fault or lcd got problem.
Only way to find out is to send it to samsung tmr morning and see what will become of all this. wish me luck hope they replace me with another one.
Note: the lcd was manufactured march 2010.
I wanted to get this Samsung monitor B2330H soon also. Please do update us whether this is isolated case or it happens to the whole batch of B-series.so i try to use a laptop, connected via vga when pressing the fn + f5 button my lcd turn white and seconds after white smoke started to come of it.

As for other matter, I have something want everybody to confirm here. The DVI should provide the same picture quality as the HDMI port except that DVI has no sound only right? But recently I read about this from Digital Versus article:
In DVI mode, the screen produces colours that are accurate with its factory settings. The average gap between colours sent by the graphics card and those actually shown by the monitor is 2.9, a score that’s well above average. However, it’s possible to obtain even better colour at the expense of contrast by connecting a computer via the HDMI port. Again using the default configuration, the deltaE score falls to 2, but the contrast worsens from 729:1 to 515:1, roughly a 30% loss.
How come? does this happens to only that particular monitor (Samsung SyncMaster T220HD) or this is a fact?
