if you're talking about backlighting (the one that lights up the screen), there are CCFL and LED types. LED has lower power consumption and higher brightness.

if you're talking about panel type, there are TN and IPS panel (actually got other variants but these 2 are more popular). IPS gives much much much better picture quality and colour does not fade as fast as TN version.

if you're talking about money, of course IPS panel is much expensive. And if you willing, roll back some post and you can find that some forummer here posted picture of their IPS monitor (Dell Ultrasharp series), you'll be amazed by the picture quality.

i waited the previous promo to end and hoped that they will drop the price or give some freebies. =) luckily I din buy it earlier although the urge is strong lol.

i guess no..cuz i saw from dell's delivery status..my monitor is under(ship from factory)already..
dun know there can send it for me tomolo or not..

ic. can try to call dell hotline and ask. if not wrong u can choose not to accept the lcd when it's delivered to u. (kesian the postman)

then u can get refund then order with the new pricing. not sure if this works, need someone to clarify on this.

i think if only difrent rm20 then is ok for me la..right now i only hope that the lcd can delivery faster..
oh ya..my laptop so far only got dvi out put and vga put put..is that got difrent i use vga cable and dvi cable?

vga signal is in analog whereas dvi, digital. since u have DVI then use it for better image quality.

ehh don't think u can swap the graphic card out of ur lappie leh..

but right now i only have vga cable(dell are not free any hdmi or dvi cable with the monitor)
then dvi-dvi cable need around rm4+ also..
i prefer buy a hdmi cable together with a graphic card.

AFAIK, u can't change the graphic card in ur laptop unless u got a very high-end laptop. And the cost will be high as well.

guess u're stuck with VGA as the moment. try to ask ur friends whether they got those extra DVI lying around or not loh. =)

Sweet i think I made my mind and going to get this..

On my review side:
Pro:
It only uses 2 CCFL lamps rather than the standard 4 (saves energy)
Brightness at 250 cd/m2 near 300(no big issues)
1920x1080 and not 1920x1200 ideal for gaming
REALLY WIDE feeling!..

I think its worth the price for a 24 incher without many gizmozzz ... anyone else have any comments be glad to hear from you all.
