Guys, i'm not sure whats happening with my Acer H233H FULL HD LCD , not everyday, but a least twice a day , my monitor goes blank, and comes up back, like a flick from the GPU?

I've just recently updated to Nvidia beta driver. Is that causing the monitor to flick the screen (what ever its called)..

Please guide me what should i do to test if the GPU not causing the issue..

Many Thanks..

Its a gift from my brother, i'd doubt that its fake, since he bought it from Harvey Norman, last year..M1000HD.

I think its the GPU driver could be causing problem. I updated to the newest beta version..im going to install 197.15 later..i'll see if that causes problems too..

Thanks for the followup anyway..

Hi Everdying,

A question for you. I'm using Acer Full HD monitor and i've set my refresh rate to 50hz and Color depth to 32bit.

Im using Gigabyte GE Force 210 w HDMI output.

The issue is , when i just surfing or doing some work, my monitor goes black screen and it appears back.

Do you have any idea , what should i do next?

Hmm.. what is the native refresh rate of your monitor? 50Hz sounds a bit odd... most non-3D monitor nowadays works at 60Hz... 3D monitor at 120Hz... Full HD would also mean you use it at 1920x1080 res right?... my AOC 2434pw flickers terribly when i try set at 75Hz.. which is 15Hz more than it's native refresh rate...  try 60Hz and see... if not try use other connection, dvi maybe... in some rare case, cheap HDMI cable arent able to transfer full HD signal probably...

I even tried setting at 60hz, the screen just goes bizarre..im using Monster cable HDMI. Is it something to do with the Nvidia drivers?

the HDMI cable that you use does not matter, did you try updating your nvidia driver?
Try reading the thread, or at least state your budget. Else get Dell U2410, RM1.8k

The driver is latest. I think i'll try changing to a different HDMI cable and test it for a few days and monitor if the flick still goes on.
Not very often, but once in a while it happens.

The monitor only supports upto 60hz max [not sure if this is correct tho]. Let me check again.

Well, i dont use Nvidia so i dont know what is the issue with your system... have you tried going to Nvidia support forum and see if anyone got the same problem... or google about it.. it's weird that it only happens during internet browsing, which shouldnt use much cpu or gpu power... if you have another monitor or tv( with proper connectivity option ), i guess you should try using those for a while and see if the problem repeats... that should make it easier to locate the main problem...

Hi, thanks for the advise. I did google but nothing similar reported except other issues. Im suspecting that the cable could a problem.
I dont have an extra monitor to test on. I'll give a try as you suggested.
