Now my only problem is reading imports for my DC. Trying my best not to kacau tripleB. Didnt really know that DC #2 and above hardly can read cdr which is really troublesome. cry.gif

make your PS2 stand up on the side (90 degree) or terbalik after closing the tray (180 degree). Last time I do this for my PS1 Phat for some problematic CD. My PS2 phat dah lama tak on smile.gif

You're trying to run Japanese games using the Utopia disc? Nope that won't work. What you need is either a Gameshark CDX or  a utility disc like Action Replay. Trust me, it works.
*
I remembered you can use the Utopia CD to boot other region (mine was the manufactured ahem version), I think I play Sonic (US) and Shenmue (UK) on my JP dreamcast with the Utopia CD. Boot the dreamcast with the Utopia, then open tray and put in the original.

If you are trying to burn your own Utopia disc, try burning on the lowest settings 1x . Brings back memories making my own ahem ahem disc and homebrew stuffs. Do they still sell blank CDR nowadays? smile.gif

That's interesting. The reverse is not true though. I have 3 NTSC/U Dreamcasts, and all of them cannot run NTSC/J discs using the Utopia disc. We only use the Utopia disc as a bootloader for games that can't self boot. I primarily use Gameshark CDX if I need to boot NTSC/J discs.

Any place in Klang Valley where I could buy a Sega Megadrive and its games? Been looking high and low for shops that sell retro games but no luck.

I can't really choose a single game from those golden years of Capcom. Most of their output were so awesome. Even their licensed games like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Punisher, Alien VS Predator were awesome. You know, unlike Acclaim.

Tu PAL version ke? Zaman dulu2 PAL games ran at 50Hz, NTSC at 60Hz. But the modern consoles no longer have these restrictions. So are the games also set to the old refresh rates of those days?

it's UK/euro version, but it's not technically PAL...

last time they used RF signals hence the 50Hz/60Hz etc.

once we switched to digital out (aka HDMI etc) it's no longer a problem.

basically there's no issue with refresh rates.

iinm the resolution is upscaled but is not HD, obviously....

but of course abang ameenskywalker would beg to differ....

Hahahaha yes, i detest scaling down or up. I need pure 240p RGB output to perfectly calibarated PVM monitor.

A friend told me HeavyArm ada carry, but I haven't verified myself. I personally found one of the stalls in Lowyat selling it, but it was quite expensive.
