QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Dec 8 2009, 04:43 PM) Yup, that's the procedure I always use free shipping for Play-Asia, so far so good.Luckily I have learned to be patient after so many years of gaming, wonder why so many people these days can't even wait for 2 weeks when choosing free shipping The one time I thought I lost a game was when my mail room clerk was on leave for a week and didn't sort out the mail (Raya holidays). I might buy things using the coupons after Christmas to avoid the same situation..... |

Onee-chan Bara!
You should get the complete series, the one you have is Onee-chan Pon (vol 101). IIRC there were two or three vol. before this one, the 1st Onee-chan Bara, Onee-chan Puru and another which I forgot but definitely was an Onee-chan Bara title, all released as Simple 2500 series games. One of these days I will buy them, had one "saved for later" on my Play-Asia shopping cart for years.... |

QUOTE(sonic_cd @ Dec 23 2009, 01:43 PM) i`, still trying to accquire the 1001 series for the heck of it . it had the separate rca connectors , instead of the muti av port, wich always getloose . chronims has series 1000 (NTSC-J), which has BUILT-IN S-VIDEO PORT!Also, turn it upside down if it overheats..... People in Japan now strip it down and use it as a base to make audiophile CD players...... |

QUOTE(Dark NT @ Dec 30 2009, 01:09 PM) Now I'm worried. Did you use free shipping (regular air mail) or courier (Fed Ex/UPS/EMS?)I just ordered a few things from PA, and followed their advice of using courier as opposed to the free shipping. In fact, the cost of Fed Ex was subsidised by the Christmas coupon, so I'm still happy with the deal. Hopefully since I ordered after Christmas Day, everything turns out fine.... |

Sorry, but Celcom broadband acting up, had written post on Sunday nite but then....
Anyway, as mentioned, fired up Gundam PS2 1st Sonic Gems Collection, I really like this game because It has all three Bare Knuckle/Streets of Rage as Easter Eggs. Notice how it showed the English title despite the actual game still in Japanese no matter what language setting your PS2 is. |

I wanted to play GunSpike, but then I saw GiGaWing 2, so decided to play that 1st. Stay tuned for more... |

QUOTE(sonic_cd @ Jan 13 2010, 07:08 PM) Yes. Make sure to get NTSC-J version, other version remove Bare Knuckle games.Anyway last I remember Sonic Gems was exclusive to Gamecube in NTSC-UC regions, no PS2 version was released. I bought mine from Play-Asia 4 years back, but it has been out-of stock since 2008. |

Hmmmm.
So this means if you cannot afford RGB, the next best thing is S-Video for retro stuff? What about Dreamcast? I know not all games support VGA Box, but this is the best solution right? Anyone know where to buy an Original VGA Box? |

Ahh, nice to be back from vacasyun....
Fired up some retro game consoles, but got a major surprise.... For Dreamcast, why does sometimes it will randomly reset itself? Too hot? Mine is unmodded Drramcast bought from ebay. The console is played at most 1-2 times in a year.... For Saturn, first time I fired it up, the drive did not function! But after 10 minutes, and several resets and powering on/off, the familiar Saturn intro flying screen came on and it can finally read discs. This one I last played back in 2008! It's a modded Saturn (can play games from Uncle Jack Sparrow....) So, any ideas on what may cause the problems for my consoles? Lack of play? |

The drive did not spin at all. When powered on, without CR2032 battery attached, it went straight to menu without the intro screen.
I did almost the same thing as you did, even tried to open the case but the screws were too tight! So then I just tried one more time after 10-15 mins. and voila! it finally powered on with the intro screen! Anyway, here's my wife playing Dungeons & Dragons Shadow over Mystara.... |

Forgot to upload pix of Mars Matrix in action.
Here's the DC exclusive demo screen, beat that Kawaks! Oh yeah, bought a few stuff too... Got both at discount price from eBay. Would you believe that the books cost USD0.01? That's 1 cent each.... Sure I can't read nearly all of the text, but the pictars r kewl.... Right now I'm saving for an original Sega Dreamcast VGA Box! |

QUOTE(tripleB @ Mar 3 2010, 09:03 AM) O.o What the!? Is that a different cover of SF Zero 3? Mine is the boring cover where every characted just stands still in a Playstation Home-like avatar pose. Is that cover from a newer release or something? This is the 'curse' of the game collector....In Japan, Capcom re-released some of their early DC titles with Online Play capabilities added. The Online play was called 'Matching Service' and I believed it was compatible with both 56k modem and the broadband adaptor. Most of the games re-released were only available for purchase from Capcom Japan't Online store, but they all had almost the same covers (Kikaioh, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure etc.) but for Street Fighter Zero 3, they used this variant cover as opposed to the 'paper art' cover. There were of course the exclusive Matching Service-only games like Super Street Fighter II X and Vampire Chronicle. The full title is "Street Fighter Zero 3 Saikyo-ryu Dojo For Matching Service". The game is basically the same as the earlier one, except with the online play feature. |
