don't put too much hope on 黄金,not many retro stuff there~
188 is da place to shop for new and old games.

there is 1 tiny shop in 皆旺 full of retro cartridges, game n watch and tons of pc-engine games,
but that is the only retro game shop there, most shops are selling toys.
*
Golden arcade not that much retro stuff but you can try your luck on the shops opposite Golden arcade or in Ap liu street (flee market), last time saw a stall selling mostly retro stuff (carts, FC, saturn....)

Any kind soul to translate ? + nearest mrt station info drool.gif
Thanks notworthy.gif

me too can't decide on my SG shopping list (be there this weekend).

I think I will just see see look look... there are 2 cash converters there.
*
Didn't went to the cash converters the last trip I was there (a month back) but I did found a game shop (2 shoplot same company ) near Jalan Besar (opposite Sim Lim tower), quite near Dickson road. They were clearing GBA game for SGD 19 a pop. I saw Drill Dozer (with vibration) selling for SGD 19 as well.

Managed to jalan jalan a while tonight in 188 Oriental shopping and 298 computer center in Wan Chai, HK.

Well 298 computer center mostly sell computers and stuff (AV brows.gif ) so can leave this

188 Oriental shopping sell games and stuffs as well (AV brows.gif, figurine, gashopan, repackaged gashopan, etc.. ). Retro wise only found a shop selling loose cart (snes, FC, N64) for around HKD 50 to 100. A few sell second hand and new PS2 games and old Xbox, a few Jap GC, not too much picking.

Anyhow I got this ( I know is not retro but the game is around for 20+ years smile.gif ) for HKD 250

I remember playing a Sakura wars game chinese version on PS2. But couldn't remember how was it like. Really long ago.

Anyway report back from Alor Setar.

Went to City Plaza and found 2 game shops there. Forgot the names but there are near escalators and are opposite to each other. One of the shops have 2-3 PS1 slim units (used but the box is quite new).

Problem is they are selling at RM299 each (used!) So I didn't buy any.
Browse a bit of the shop but didn't really find anything interesting.

The other shop had a fat PS1 on display but its not for sale. They don't have anymore PS1. As we arrived in AS pretty late, didn't managed to go to other malls.

So, no results for the game/console hunting~ sigh.
*
With that kind of price, might as well just add a little more and get a PS2. PS2 backwards compatibility with PS1 is good and you get PS2 as a a bonus which PS3 lacks.

If you want the brick PS1 just for your collection display, I have 2 at home (can boot but the lens kaput already) wink.gif

My discovery over the weekend.

Sadly my PAL DC sold already, can't seem to get Shen Mue and Sega Rally to work on my Jap DC with utopia disc cry.gif ~ both just stop around 97%

DOA fared badly as well as half of the screen is cut of from the TV.

Soul Caliber work perfectly.

FC Mike Tyson Punch out and SFC (PAL) Super Mario World to top up the whole search.

I not too familiar with those up scale scan converter (XRGB, etc) .. anyone care to enlighten me ? smile.gif

The XRGB is to convert component/ composite to RGB input (for PC monitor) ?

I am looking for the opposite solutions where RGB input (PC monitor) to normal composite or component to hook up my TV (old big TV) as a media center or emulator center smile.gif

This might be old news but I just got around to upgrade my old Xbox Hard disk to 80GB today and notice that the power unit has a lot of leaking capacitors. The Xbox still runs fine but there a little feeling inside me that it just waiting for time to kick the bucket..... sad.gif

Anyone here encounter this issue before ? Any advise ? ATX-PSU mod perhaps brows.gif
