yalor, i also prefer NA (mivec, anyone?) but due to damn low budget and the crave for more power... BOT is the cheapest and quickest lor.

I'll shift to gear 2 if kph below 60 to overtake. Sometimes I push to 75 kph in gear 2.
I'm not sure this is correct method, but while driving from 0 kph, I start from gear 2 to accelerate faster until reaches 60-70 kph then shift to D. But if down shift from D to 2, I waited until 30-40 kph.
if less than 30 i push to L then go till around 60, change 2, till 90-100 then back to D..
if D around 40-65 only i push to 2...then till 90-100 then only D

Added on November 16, 2009, 5:08 pmoh ya..and if i downshift to 2...i brake a bit till 100, then downshift + brake...goes to 60-40 within like 2-3 seconds or less

Just tried driving using 2 but I can only stand until 80 kph, then shift to D. Maybe it just my way of driving, not used of the sound of high rpm.

Btw wanted to ask my brake pedal. It seems that I need to press more to feel the brake. The pedal is like a bit loosen. I can press half and still move. It slows down, but between braking and moving ratio, it moves more.

@alvin: yalor... but i hope the "time" doesn't come when i'm forced to choose either one (i'm too poor for such surprises!)

i think largely depends on the gear ratio. engine has a power dip at certain RPMs after the peak, so if you refuse to upshift, sometimes may not give u extra power, but only increased FC. hmm.gif

better change your brake fluid, or bleed it. you're experiencing "spongy" brakes.

its also a possibility that the brake pads are reaching it limits soon ...
get ur braking system checked ...
if the pads is still usable and u don wan change yet, then make sure ur brake fluid is at required mark .. need to monitor at least once a week... things to be aware of, when ur brake pads reaches it limits, it will have screeching sound when u brake ...

Geez, today went to check
Confirmed rear caliper have to change, inside rusted like ballz and the piston jam.....and the best of all is

THE PRICE OF A FREAKING 1.6 REAR CALIPER IS LIKE CLOSE TO RM400 CHOP SHOP!!! 1#$!#%!#^@$& NEW 1 EVEN WORSE, >RM1000
This is BLASPHEMY!!!

So those with rear disc brakes, better take care of it, its damn painful to even source for a used caliper, don't say new 1 ~_~
How will the gomen think, ban imported used parts?? RM1500 for a new 1.6 rear caliper each? More than half of my monthly salary, dammit!!!
Not only that, my brake pad also jammed till habis, changed new brake pads also

Then wiper also KOed as well, changed the mechanism at the bottom, wah liao......overbudget this month, sigh
