ur fren could be rite.
did u just called ur mech about it, or had him looked at it?

could be an improperly tightened crank pulley bolt. but probably not, since u only hv that squeak when the engine's cold.
*
to be exact its not during cold, as long as the car is not turned on for at least half an hour the sound would appear once u turned the engine on and the AC at the same time.

yes u r rite, most ppl advertise "lady owner" as in "car in good condition" but we all should know better la.
guys can "sayang" their car more, u know. but guys tend to drive a little more aggressively (again, in general, not say 100%) compared to ladies.

haha, u are so right about the comment ladies like to make "eh that day already serviced".
when they say service, they think EVERYTHING is fixed during the service  sweat.gif

guys, during engine oil change, the "oil sump" drain screw-hole has started to lost its "threads" (the bunga botak). currently i using seal to make sure engine oil wont leak. how much is it to replace the entire oil sump base plate for 4G15p?
i dont like the idea of sucking our old engine oil with vacuum pump. like not clean liddat.
thanks
*
i think a guy's ride is always better than a ladies' ride, but this of course varies la ... some guys like my friend car nut case, wats happening to the car also dunno ... back to topic, guys tend to sayang their more as in tend to things that needed repair/fix b4 it blows .. haha
about car service, guys would change right on time or abit early/late .. but girls will be like "eh i drive extra 1k km also no problem, continue ba, today need go shopping with my gurlz no time service" ... laugh.gif

if i am not wrong, changing that whole oil sump base cost a bomb ... normally wat ppl do is just change the drain screw ... change to a magnetic one would help ur engine to be cleaner in a long run ....

QUOTE(sqwerk2 @ Nov 17 2009, 10:45 AM)
guys, juz wanna ask sumthing.

i did top overhaul last 2 months or so. things are fine, but there is one thing tht kinda bugs me. whenver the car was left idle for a very long time, say, 8 hours like tht. when i start the engine, i will warm the engine up before moving. after the engine have been warmed up, when i turned on the AC, there is this squeking sound of the timing belt. i noticed this for quite some time already, then one day i decided to open the hood and see it.

i look at the timing belt rotation speed, it was ok at first, then i tried turning on the AC, then the soudn appears, i also noticed that the speed of the timing belt has dropped and turned a bit slower before i turn on the AC. i asked my mech, he said it could be the crank pulleys and need to change it.

however, the sound is will not appear after the engine is fully warmed up and i've been driving it for a while even with the AC on. so, just wanna ask u pros here, can u guys tell me wat is wrong? i got think of spraying some lubricant to the pulleys, will it help? sorry for the long post.
*
no worries ... from wat i read, its just ur fan belt ... once its warmed up it wont have sound ..
just ur fan belt loosen la, u can either tighten it or wait for it to have a long high pitch 'geak geak geak' sound then change ... if i am not wrong, our wira have 3 belts which cost around RM20 for one ...

my ride also have this ngeak ngeak sound during a cold start ...after 15mins or so no sound throughout the day liao ... but then of course, i might be wrong coz i dont know wats the actual sound of ur case ... checking with a few different mechs will confirm it (pretend stupid when u ask) ... good luck biggrin.gif

Eh no one answered mine yet regarding brake pedal. It is a bit loosen, like pressing half way then only feel the brake. Btw new brake pads and new brake fluid.

any reference project before this? or first of its kind?
with ITB, probably the redline is higher than std engine eh.. but 93t piston is low compression de woh.. got do skimming the head with engineering calculation, izzit? how about the ecu? pakai siapa punya? share share info eh.. wanna learn.. kekekeke notworthy.gif

but one thing to ask ler... how come your 93t head is different de? normally the distributor/plug cable all goes to the top right position mah (timing belt there) but, why yours is running to the left hand side de?

Wanna ask...

Every morning when I start to drive and when I stepped on break pedal, I can hear a ZZzzz !! ZZZZZzz !! sound from the front tires...After a while no sound already..

Problems with brake pad?

I changed it 1 year ago and very seldom do hard breaking.
