I would like to get the Maybank Cherry VISA debit.
Question:
1) Do i need to have a maybank account b4 applying Maybank Cherry VISA debit?

2) how long will it take if i register for Maybank Cherry VISA debit?

3) i am 17. can i use maybank2u to check my balance and etc via their website? (cause public bank need 18 and above to
use their e-statement,weird)

4) from their website. i see the anual fee is free. Is there any other charges?

5) how much does it cause to make a new maybank debit card? I'm confuse. The website say that Openning new account is free.but Conversion from Maybankard Bankcard to Maybankard Visa Debit is RM12.

3) Go Maybank ask.

4) Open a savings acc with them, u have 2 options
A Pay RM8- u can withdraw unlimited times using ur ATM card at any MBB ATM.
B No annual fee.Subjected to max 4 Free ATM withdrawal. Subsequent withrdrawals, charges apply.

5) Dont bother about the RM12 conversion fee if u currently do not hold any MBB ATM Card (The yellow one)

last time i asked them to cancel the ATM card
then only apply debit card, so no conversion fees

thank you for ur reply. omg..if i know this,i would have apply maybank debit card. I wasted 1 month time waiting for public debit card to arrive, and now they had type wrong my house address.which mean i have to wait another few more week for a new card and atm pin to arrive.

I'm regret getting You nique debit card from Alliance bank(cant do online transaction). Public Bank Debit Card maybe is still the best but CS hard to call in this month, currently cant perform online transaction because wrong PIN & want to call them to unlock. I try calling them again later.

you didn't ask when you got the Alliance Debit Card? All Alliance Debit cards cannot do online.

Yes, Public Bank good for online.

Actually I apply it online & only realized it when try using it & call bank. Public bank CS is great today, my card is unlocked & can be used soon

I made a transaction from a website.

First time, after i enter the card details, but later my browser block the VISA verification.

I tried a second time with another browser, it came to a VISA verification page and transaction went through.

I am afraid i've been charged twice but I didn't enter the VISA verification number for the first transaction. Any body can ?

Solved. Reason :Bank Islam acc must have at least RM100 in it

Free talktime credit is very good It seems that Alliance Bank is the card issuer and most importantly, this prepaid card can be used online and verified by Paypal which none of the existing Alliance Bank prepaid or debit cards can.

This card also good for those who don't want to pay the annual fees but withdrawal charges at Alliance ATMs = RM1 per withdrawal

Yesterday i used Maybank Visa Debit Card at shell petrol pump to pump petrol but after coming home and checking my maybank account I saw
PRE-AUTH DEBIT RM200.00

after calling CS they said after 2 ~ 3 days my money will get refunded in my account.

so does it mean every time I pump petrol I get RM200 cut ?

and after few days get my money back ?



or was it because of Sunday ?

The difference is one card is from Visa and other is from MasterCard.

Not because it was Sunday. If you do not want them to hold your RM200, swipe your debit card at the counter instead. This way, only exact amount will be charged to your debit card.
