I don't think anyone on YouTube would teach you how to reball, seeing as most people there want cheap and easy fixes, which is definitely not something you could say about the reballing process.

Play about 2.5 hrs of uncharted 2 tonight without and crash.  What I did this time is put the USB fan on top of the PS3 but this time I use the fan to blow the air into the PS3 instead of sucking it out.

Blowing inside the PS3 might be better than sucking out, since the air going in should (theoretically), cool down the components smile.gif

My PS3 YLOD again. It was ok last night. However this morning when I turn it on, it just YLOD.

I think the YLOD is worst than the 3ROD.

Hmm 2nd time YLOD usually happens in a short duration as soon as you fixed it in the 1st time.Thats why I assume it may be or may be not worst than 3ROD.But like people said,it just about luck.

Problem with reballing (or any other YLOD fix) is that most people who can fix will charge quite a bit for it.

One guy, shahreza2000, has kena 2 ylod (2nd time not yet recover) and shelled out RM300-400 for each fix, amounting to RM600-800 in repairs alone, which is nearly the price of a brand new PS3 Slim (although you can't really blame him, as he needed to backup his HDD, not to mention how most people end up 'bonding' with their PS3s somewhere along the way)

oit... I've only shelled out one fix (mb screwed, got a new one)... my ps3 is under subject of testing (2nd or 3rd ylod)...let alone i can say RIP PS3... next year i will get new ps3 slim icon_rolleyes.gif

only solution at the moment i've seen mostly is reflowing... its only a temp solution...

i've yet to see reballing on ps3 GPU and Cell CPU... even tho we have local companies that provide reballing services at extraordinary cost sweat.gif

If I buy a new PS3 slim, can I use my old PS3 HDD?
