didn't notice any 3d launcher, although i might have missed it in the settings, still playing around with it though... perhaps any sifus here can enlighten....
my firmware version says its "2.1-update1" perhaps there are further updates...?

Base on info on the net, the 3d launcher is not included in the update for Motorolla Droid/Milestone, probably because there are outstanding landscape orientation bug ( a must for droid/milestone ) and too memory hungry ( Nexus one have 512mb ram versus only 256mb on droid/milestone ).

also the gallery seems to be the old one.. not the fancy 3d tilting one.. at least the facebook app is here now!

If you want that, jz manually install the apk.

I still have the "unable to connect to server" error

Also, I can't seem to find the auto system update option under my Settings>About phone section. Anyone else have the same problem?

Btw, APNdroid is not working for me. Any other app that can disable data connection but at the same time maintaining the MMS service?

I copied this changelog that was provided by Verizon for the US version Motorola Droid.

Some things like pinch zooming, we already have but I'm guessing most of the changes should apply for the Milestone as well. One important update that is not mentioned but has apparently been fixed is the audio skipping problem that occurs for 2.01 milestones. 2.1 users are reporting that this issue is no longer present. Feel free to add on anything u have experienced or heard.

I would like to add about the differences between 2.01/2.1 that

* the stuttering of the audio (MP3 playback sometimes) is gone
* the camera works a lot better (taking pictures is fun now)
* the camcorder can do now widescreen, supports geo tags (GPS) and has a better menu
* key feedback is slightly changed (feels better)
* hardware keyboard got typo correction
* browser is really fast now
* whole phone feels a lot more responsive

Thats what I have read in the german Milestone forum. I am facing connection problems here as others do. At work I canceled the update, my battery was at 20%. Here at home I can't get it . Seems I have to wait till tomorrow.

For me the Milestone become the phone it was supposed to be with this update. Many bugs are fixed as well like auto brightness and the behavior of the sensor key light, Market notifications and so on.
